Is this a sin?

When someone takes the Lord’s name in vain in your presence, and you don’t object, how bad of a sin is it? Isn’t it denying Jesus?
 
There’s a time to speak and a time to be silent. When you don’t know what to do, the default choice is to be silent.

If it’s someone you know well, take a quiet opportunity to say gently, “It really hurts me to hear the Name of Jesus used as a swear word. Please try not to do so when you’re with me.”

And then drop the subject.
