That is not what was the poster stated. The marital act, each act, must be ordered per se toward procreation. That means that each time a couple engages in the act, the act must be completed in the natural manner with no barriers/contraceptives/withdrawal/etc… just natural marital embrace. It does not mean that the couple must desire conception…they must be open to the possibility, however, and do nothing to thwart the procreative nature of the act. If a couple desires to not conceive, they are to abstain, a.k.a. observe periodic continence…yet should also recognize the importance of sharing in the marital embrace for other goods of the marital act. A couple with a just reason to avoid conception may observe the woman’s natural cycles and abstain from the act during her fertile period.
