Is this a sin?

I know now that the wine after it is consecrated is the blood of Jesus. But, for a long time I always thought that it was a symbol and not the real thing. I really feel bad about this and I was wondering if I committed a sin. Is it a sin to think that way and if so should I tell this to my confessor?
