Welcome home!!!is it acceptable for someone who is just starting out on the path to Catholicism to come to good Friday liturgy of Christs passion? i know that i cannot yet receive the sacrament of the holy Eucharist. but i want to go to the liturgy

I will probably go…if i go on saturday night to the vigil, should i also go to sunday easter mass, is there any difference other than the baptisms, confirmation etc…i know it fulfills our obligation but would it be better if i attended both?It’s not only acceptable, it is encouraged. Be sure to use one of the missalettes (the softcover liturgy books) so that you can follow along with the reading of the Passion of Jesus. Many churches also offer a homily (sermon-like discourse) on the Seven Last Words of Christ, which will give you plenty of food for thought, meditation, and prayer.
Since you are considering Catholicism, might I also suggest that you go to the Easter Vigil Mass on Saturday evening? It is an incredibly powerful and moving liturgy, especially if people are being baptized, receiving the Eucharist for the first time, or being confirmed.

As you correctly pointed out, if a Catholic attends the vigil Mass, it does fulfill the Sunday Mass obligation. Since you aren’t Catholic (yet,) you’re obviously under no obligation to go to either. Still, the Sunday Mass would be an additional experience for you to take in. The readings are somewhat different in both the Ordinary Form (English) and Extraordinary Form (Latin Tridentine) Masses.
