Is this an acceptable use of the pill?

Doctors have suggested oral contraceptives as a way to correct my wife’s irregular menstrual cycle. In such a case, is it a sin to use birth control?

If the answer is “yes - it is still a sin”, do you have information on how to correct this problem that is acceptable to God?

I would also appreciate any links you have to NFP sites.

Yes the use of the pill for medical reasons is permitted, so long as it is not used to contracept.
