Is this apostles' creed the new version or the other?

Apostles’ Creed 　 I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.我信全能者天主圣父，化成天地。 I believe in Jesus Christ, His only son, our Lord. 我信其惟一圣子耶稣基利斯督我等主。He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. 我信其因圣神降孕，生于玛利亚之童身。He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. 我信其受难，于般雀比辣多居官时，被钉十字架，死而乃瘗。He descended to the dead. On the third day He rose again. 我信其降地狱，第三日自死者中复活。He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father. 我信其升天，坐于全能者天主圣父之右。He will come again to judge the living and the dead. 我信其日后从彼而来，审判生死者。 I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. 我信圣神，我信有圣而公教会，诸圣相通功。我信罪之赦。我信肉身之复活。我信常生。 Amen. 阿们！

I need to know the version of this creed. Please give me the answer. Thank you!
 
What’s with all the wingdingy stuff in the middle of the printing? Makes it very difficult to read.

The Apostles’ Creed you’ve quoted is the same as it’s always been. I’m not aware of any ‘new version’ - a ‘new version’ would no longer be the Apostles Creed, after all, but by the fact of being different would be some other creed instead.
 
Is the “other” version you are referring to the Nicene Creed?
We believe in one God,
the Father, the Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
of all that is, seen and unseen.
We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ,
the only son of God,

God from God, Light from Light,

begotten, not made,

I believe this creed came after the Apostles’ creed but it was around 380 so neither is exactly “new” :). I think (and stand to be corrected on this) that either version is OK to recite. I seem to remember reciting the Nicene Creed in church years ago (as a child). Some people still pray it when praying the rosary.

In most countries the Nicene Creed still is the one recited every Sunday at Mass. I know Canada is one of the exceptions.

And contrariwise, the Apostles Creed is most often used when reciting the Rosary or the Divine Mercy Chaplet.
 
The “wingdingy stuff” are Chinese characters.

For those who are interested, the Chinese version given is the classical Chinese translation of the Apostles Creed. As classical Chinese is no longer commonly spoken today, the Catholic Bishops of Taiwan has produced a slightly different translation of the Apostles Creed in Chinese for use in the liturgy.

What you have quoted in the Orginal Version, termed; “The Apostles Creeed” and is thought to have been written by one or more of the Apostles.

The Version that we use at Mass today is termed the “Nicene Creed” dating to the Council of Nicia in 425 AD. Here it is…

"*We believe in one God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible.

And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of God, begotten of the Father before all worlds, God of God, Light of Light, True God of True God, begotten, not made, being of one substance with the Father by whom all things were made; who for us men, and for our salvation, came down from heaven, and was incarnate by the Holy Spirit of the Virgin Mary, and was made man, and was crucified also for us under Pontius Pilate. He suffered and was buried, and the third day he rose again according to the Scriptures, and ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of the Father. And he shall come again with glory to judge both the quick and the dead, whose kingdom shall have no end.*

While no Theology changed some emphasis was changed to fight then, current hersey’s.

It is my understanding that the Nicene Creed will revert back to its original format in the Liturgy. It will begin with "I believe’ which is what Credo means. The ‘we’ will be eliminated for the proper ‘I’ throughout the entire Creed.

You know, the Philippines also seem to be one of those exceptions (based on personal experience); in fact, I’ve yet to hear the Creed of Nicea-Constantinople in a Mass. I’ve only heard it one time for real in my whole life.

Just a minor clarification–the legend that the Apostles’ Creed was written by the Apostles is just that … a legend. It may or may not be true (most scholars say no), you’re free to believe it or not, it’s not required for the Catholic faith.

The Council of Nicea was in 325 A.D. The Creed we typically refer to as the Nicene Creed is more formally known as the Nicene-Constantinopolitan Creed, because the Council of Constantinople in 381 A.D. also had a significant (name removed by moderator)ut into the formation of this Creed.
