Is this appropriate for Easter Vigil?

I always wear a headcovering at Mass (I wear one all the time, in fact). Because I will be confirmed tonight at Easter Vigil, and make my First Communion, I want to wear a white veil (with a white shirt and grey dress pants). I know that the Catechumens will don white robes after they are baptized (I’ve already been).

Is it inappropriate for me to wear white this evening? I see this as a new beginning for me. I traditionally wear black on Good Friday and Holy Saturday and save white for rejoicing on Easter Day. I don’t want to look like I’m in mourning on such a special occasion, but neither do I want to look disrepectful by not mourning until Easter. (I hope that makes sense?)

Any thoughts?

Thanks!
