Is this commute valid?

I have done a private vow of fasting every wednesay and friday. After a while, I realized this vow wasn’t as much of a sacrifice as I thought it would be (I didn’t find it to be hard)… So I was thinking… Can I commute this vow to for example, praying the rosary (on the same days) for the purgatory souls? Cause the way I see it, it would be a greater good… Do you think so?

I think praying the rosary more is always a good thing. If you feel the need to fast is there something other than food that would be more of a sacrifice for you? I’m not going to use the internet on those days or I’m not going read a novel on those days? It sounds like your heart is in the right place.
