It is great. It is by a holy priest and the site is orthodox all the way.

I found this examination of conscience on line what is your opinion of it? Do you think it is orthodox or not?
www.catholicparents.org/oxcart/examination.html

This is also affiliated with the Leaflet Missal Co., are they ok (orthodox)?
Thanks and God bless.
Wow dave, that’s great. I printed off the children’s examination of conscience for my kids and for my First Communion students. It looks very orthodox to me.
BTW, I subscribe to Catholic Parent magazine—it’s awesome—I highly recommend it for Catholic parents.

I actually have a copy of this booklet in my purse that is incredibly beat up and falling apart because I have been using it for the past six or seven years. I also happen to be blessed to know the Priest who wrote it and he is a very holy, pious Priest.

I found this same examination of conscience a few weeks back and thought it was great for us adults too.

Note how he distinguishes on a willful versus non-willful act.

If you did not will the act, e.g., if you were forced or if it was in a dream, you are not guilty of having committed a mortal sin.

This seems pretty simple in contrast to the way it is sometimes spun.

I have one problem with the list. Under venial sins for the First Commandment, this list “Playing Dungeons and Dragons or similar games”

Sure I know D&D is the work of devil in Jack Chick’s world, but to my knowledge Catholics can tell the difference between fantasy and reality so playing a fantasy role-playing game is not a sin.
