Is this good or am I being scrupulous?

God is constantly on my mind and i’m always trying to make the right decisions, which I think is good. But, sometimes it’s difficult , because of course no one is perfect, and I do sin, and if it’s a venial sin i think that it’s a mortal sin because i know that it’s not right (example - if i borrow clothes from my sister without asking, etc.) Or, if I tell a white lie; I feel so bad about it and than I start to worry that i committed a moral sin. Any thoughts or advice on this?

I think you might be a little confused about what makes a mortal sin. Are you thinking that any time you do something you are certain is wrong, that you are committing mortal sin? That’s not the case. Just knowing something is wrong is only part of what is needed for a sin to be mortal. It also must be seriously wrong in and of itself. Finally, you must do the wrong thing freely without being forced. So, something like borrowing from your sister without asking is wrong, but not seriously wrong, so it will not be a mortal sin no matter how bad you feel about it.

Yea, I was thinking that any time i do something I know or think is wrong, might be a mortal sin. I don’t think 100% that it’s a mortal sin, but I worry if it is or not. But, thanks for clarifying that it’s not.
