Is this idol worship?

Being a big Beatles fan, I’m going to my local history center where they are having “Beatles night”. They have a costume contest and I was wondering if dressing up as a Beatle would be considered idol worship.

No, idol worship consists in giving adoration (“latria”) to someone or something other than God. Unless you think the Beatles are gods, or you show them more honor and respect than you do to God, then you are not guilty of idolatry.

I guess I meant idolatry. I don’t know if I should be a Beatles fan though, since they had songs with bad messages, were anti-Christian (from what I hear), and played… rock music. Would any of the latter points make it sinful to like the Beatles?
