Is this islamic to the muslims here?

There are many muslims here where i live and most of the “sisters” use makeup,dress up in modern clothes etc etc…only the headscarf is islamic nothing else,what does islam say about that?? is this islamic according to muslims here:

saudi 18 year old miss (i mean ,even in Saudiarabia?!?)

No there is nothing unislamic in those pictures,islam doesnt forbide makeup,and faahion…as lnog as it is in a modest way
 
As a non-muslim I must say the first picture couture is not necessary in the 21st century.

Now, the second and 3rd pic, I have no problem with. Especially the 3rd pic.

You should see in here in the dead of winter in NY where is brutally cold. I have a scarf on my head, wrapped and I actually look like the gal in the third picture. 😃

But I know, you didn’t ask my opinion.
 
Some fatwas such as this one and this one forbid that based on Quran (33:33):

وقرن في بيوتكن ولا تبرجن تبرج الجاهلية الأولى
​

YUSUFALI: And stay quietly in your houses, and make not a dazzling display, like that of the former Times of Ignorance; and establish regular Prayer, and give regular Charity; and obey Allah and His Messenger. And Allah only wishes to remove all abomination from you, ye members of the Family, and to make you pure and spotless.
PICKTHAL: And stay in your houses. Bedizen not yourselves with the bedizenment of the Time of Ignorance. Be regular in prayer, and pay the poor-due, and obey Allah and His messenger. Allah’s wish is but to remove uncleanness far from you, O Folk of the Household, and cleanse you with a thorough cleansing.
SHAKIR: And stay in your houses and do not display your finery like the displaying of the ignorance of yore; and keep up prayer, and pay the poor-rate, and obey Allah and His Messenger. Allah only desires to keep away the uncleanness from you, O people of the House! and to purify you a (thorough) purifying.

most people dont take people like bin baz,albani and their bs seriously,because according to them only nikab is good enough…and as far i can see that website is wahabi/saudi…so you cant claim it to be an official islamic view

It is convenient for Muslims to say this when it is inconvenient. This whole topic shows us the blur between a Muslim’s private life and religion/politics is a blur. But that is what Sharia laws are about, isn’t it girls?

Hijab doesn’t mean wear a big black tent.

Women are supposed to cover their bodies, excepting the face and hands, in loose, non-transparent clothing so that her body (including the shape of her body) is not apparent to an observer.

There’s a lot of flexibility in that definition. Wearing a big black tent certainly fits under that so that’s what some people wear, but not everyone. (And I mean no offense to my sisters who choose to wear black abayas or jilbabs, may Allah reward them.)

Muslim women are not all in the same situation, nor have they all the same desire to express modesty, nor the same definition as to what modest clothing entails. Certainly, some women wear clothes that are definitely too tight, and certainly some women don’t cover everything they should. Give them a break, their religion (and application of religion) is not your concern.

It was made our concern by posting this on a website that is not for Muslims. And when Muslims become more numerous they start forcing others to wear these things too.

Muslims concern themselves with others and their religion, why do you think that a turnaround is not fair play EXPECIALLY when this is posted here?

O Prophet! Tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks (veils) all over their bodies (i.e. screen themselves completely except the eyes or one eye to see the way). That will be better, that they should be known (as free respectable women) so as not to be annoyed. And Allah is Ever Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
( سورة الأحزاب , Al-Ahzab, Chapter #33, Verse #59)

Sounds like a tent with a small hole is required, the color is optional.

I don’t see how Verisimilitude did any sort of “lecture” here. The member simply posted the verse from the koran about “their” dress code.
O Prophet! How many times have we been asked here on CAF from muslim posters to state “where is it written in the koran”.

The koran, their book, states for women to cover and the only thing that should be visible is “one eye”.
{ يٰأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّبِيُّ قُل لأَزْوَاجِكَ وَبَنَاتِكَ وَنِسَآءِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ يُدْنِينَ عَلَيْهِنَّ مِن جَلاَبِيبِهِنَّ ذٰلِكَ أَدْنَىٰ أَن يُعْرَفْنَ فَلاَ يُؤْذَيْنَ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ غَفُوراً رَّحِيماً }

Tell your wives and daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks closely over themselves (jalābīb is the plural of jilbāb, which is a wrap that covers a woman totally) — in other words, let them pull part of it [also] over their faces, leaving one eye **[visible], **when they need to leave [the house] for something. **

In contrast, slavegirls did not use to cover their faces and so the disbelievers used to pester them. And God is Forgiving, of any occasion in the past when they may have neglected to cover themselves, Merciful, to them in His veiling them.

Of course he did. He disagreed with a practicing Muslim about how her religion should be practiced. That’s pretty arrogant, yet it happens all the time here without occasioning any special comment.

Can you imagine if the situation were reversed? Or if a Jew told a Buddhist “clearly it states in these Buddhist scriptures you should be praying this way and not that way?”

And you know what, how many times in this forum has a muslim said to us…

“oh yeah, show me where in the koran it is written that we must do that”!!!

Frankly, if it’s up to me, the burka should be banned world wide.

I have no problem with the head crarf, but to cover your women from head to toe with only one eye visible is pathetic.

If God wanted the women which He created to be covered from head to toe with one eye visible, He would have made flaps and a tent for us so we may flap it over our skin.
