Okay i made a joke saying i had the powers of God. It was a joke i wasn’t being serious at all. Of course i don’t think i actually have those powers. Like i said it was a joke. So was it a sin. Btw it was in my head.

i don’t think it was a sin

you had some sort of a “brain-fart”

sober up, shipmate

Btw I’m very scrupulous with a combination of having ocd so 😅

Brother, If you say it once, say just for joke, can be pardoned by anyone. But if you continue it to say with your own conscience, then it is bad. Please think before you joke like it

Also i couldn’t get it out of my head. I knew it was bad and didn’t like it.

Then just ask for pardon before the GOD Himself, in meditation and prayer, if you really feel guilty.

Seeing as the thread was started in a moral theology forum, maybe it’s worth mentioning that, in a non-joking manner, our faith can put us in touch with God’s power in some truly remarkable and amazing ways . . .

John 11:12-14

“Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever believes in me will do the works that I do, and will do greater ones than these, because I am going to the Father. And whatever you ask in my name, I will do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything of me in my name, I will do it.”

Mark 11:23

“Amen, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it shall be done for him.”
