Is this lie venial or mortal?

Not sure if this is the right section so sorry if it isn’t. Here’s what happened. My co worker orders food and tells us over the radio to grab it for her when it gets here. We ignored this request and had her come to pick it up. She asks me if I heard her over the radio saying grab the food. I lied and said I didn’t hear her. I lied so she wouldn’t be upset with me for ignoring her request. Venial or mortal?
 
I don’t remember well, I think I just wasn’t thinking about her earlier radio request even though I did hear it.

Okay, so there was no mal-intent involved…just an “oops” and then you didn’t want to have to go into the whole explanation and have her get all bent out of shape at you.
 
Depends… Was it an IN AND OUT BURGER ? If so, Your Doomed. Just kidding of course. You are awesome to Worry about it however. I ignore my wife all the time.

Ask Christ for forgiveness and maybe buy her lunch some time and tell her the truth ?

Two of the three requirements for moral sin is missing. It’s not a grave matter and you didn’t have full knowledge.

Sure it’s a Venial sin.Well do you want to know, how it can be turned to a mortal sin,well if she didn’t eat for 3 and fainted and died because you delayed and didn’t handover the food on time then your responsible of a mortal sin,that’s unlikely! don"t keep worrying just confess them next time, if your having a sensitive conscience you’ll feel better.
