Is this only for Israel?

I assumed the law to be written in our hearts was already written with the birth and redemption of Christ Jesus. But, I asked MDH if he thought (he’s not Catholic but did have some religious instruction as a child…) it was wrong for a man to have casual sex with multiple women if there were no commitments on either side and neither one was married or in a relationship. I thought he would consider the ten commandments… He said he really didn’t see anything wrong with it.
I’m devastated. I guess I learned not to ask the question if you don’t want to know the answer…

When will the law be written in our hearts??? Is this promise only for Israel?
 
No, the promise was not just for the Nation of Israel but for the New Israel which is the Church and Bride of Jesus Christ.

You are correct in understanding that the Law has become written in our hearts through the Advent of our Lord and His Passion and Resurrection.

I believe the answer you received was caused by the subjectivity of morality that has become ever more present in society which is sad to see to say the least. Sex outside of marriage is immoral, especially when they are just treated as objects for pleasure and not as a rational person.

So, he’s probably going for the shock factor (after all these years) and the writers of the sit-coms who have the actors jumping into bed after bed after bed really know that casual sex is not right deep down in their hearts???
 
For when the Gentiles who do not have the law by nature observe the prescriptions of the law, they are a law for themselves even though they do not have the law. They show that the demands of the law are written in their hearts, while their conscience also bears witness and their conflicting thoughts accuse or even defend them on the day when, according to my gospel, God will judge people’s hidden works through Christ Jesus.
Rom 2:14-16

Still, Paul also wrote that those who exchange their own “wisdom” for the wisdom of God will be handed over to the life they’ve chosen for themselves. That is not ours to judge; we are to tell the truth and let God judge whose attitude towards the truth was culpable or not.

Yes, and thanks for that Easter Joy… I hope God doesn’t judge him too harshly. He didn’t have a great upbringing though his grandmother did try to see he went to church as a kid. I try not to judge though it breaks my heart and so I must be judging or it wouldn’t affect me… right??? I just want to pray more for him and all the folks in society who believe the same way. We will have to answer for our actions one of these days… Lord, have mercy. Christ, have mercy. Lord, have mercy!!!
