Is this prayer a sin?

Excessive pride is. However, this prayer is not a desire to have sinful pride, but for the person who recites it to be able to recognize the good things that they do and have, as given to them by God. The problem that often arises with pride is that we try to claim credit for what God has done, or we try to think we can do things without God, or in our own way. However, when we acknowledge that God has given us talents, and we use them in a way that exercises them properly and for His Glory, we can take pride in knowing that we have been blessed by God with XYZ, and that we have talents to offer back to Him. For example, if I were to write a best-selling novel, sinful pride would be me saying something like: “I am such an amazing writer, look at how talented I am.” However, moderate pride would be me saying something like: “God, you have given me a writing talent that has allowed me to write a best-seller; thank you for this gift.” The first acts as though my talent is my own creation, from my own efforts; the second acknowledges that my talent came from God, and that the talent He gave me was utilized in writing my book.
Further, pride is sinful when it becomes so great that we refuse correction when we make mistakes, as though we are free from all error. It is also sinful when we refuse to acknowledge God as King, as though we were higher than Him.
So, in short, pride that is not tempered is sinful; pride that acknowledges that all good comes from God, and we are not perfect is acceptable.
