Is this really Catholic?

Well, according to one of the header items, they think John Paul !! and Benedict XVI are “anti-popes”.

Doesn’t speak well of the site.

Definitively not Catholic. It smells like sedevacantism to me.

Yes. They are definitely sedevacanists…I happen to read that website a while ago. They think all who go to NO are going to hell…etc.

I just had a glimpse at one of the videos they made entitled, “WHY JOHN PAUL II WAS NOT POPE”.

After claiming that there have been over 40 antipopes (naming actual popes) throughout Church history, they make special mention of John XXIII and Paul IV as not being legitimate popes but non-Catholic antipopes who, like the others, “were not canonically elected” and then they go on to say (and that video was made while Pope John Paul II was still alive) that Pope John Paul II wasn’t pope and wasn’t canonically elected…further dubbing him “the greatest heretic in the history of the world.”

Ouch…Really – Ouch !! :blackeye:

That kind of says that The Holy Spirit doesn’t have a very good track record…doesn’t it ?

No one went to his people the way JP II did.

…Guess we have to be charitable and pray for them…only a matter of time until they nuke St. Peter.

(*…Think I saw something on one of the “sticky’s” about discussing sedevacanists - anyone else remember something about that ?)

They pretty much think everybody but them (the two Dimond brothers) are going to Hell. They condemn other sedevacantists as heretics too.

:hmmm:

In all the translations of the Gospel of John that I’ve ever read - (even the most er…imaginative ones, I’ve never seen verse 14: 2 rendered, "In my Father’s house there are two mansions.

🙂

It’s a sedevacantist site. Stay away from that nonsense.

Not really sure if I posted this in the right forum but I was wondering if someone could shed some light.
Sure. They believe that after 2,000 years the Holy Spirit has allowed the gates of hell to prevail against the Church and has left only them as the keepers of the Truth. I would shed more light but these guys bulbs are really dim…

Many of them actually believe it happened before too.

Here is a list of otherwise universally accepted Popes who I have experienced sedes claiming were anti-popes (and I have very little experience so there could be more examples.). I have color-coded them as to the reasons they are rejected: heresy of modernism/liberalism, heresy that salvation is possible “outside the Church,” anti-Jansenism heresy (ie they say the condemnations of Jansenism contradict other previous condemnations, specifically some from Boniface II), collaboration with the Templars, other heresies.

St. Zephyrinus
St. Callistus I
Liberius
Vigilius
Honorius I
Boniface VIII
Bl. Benedict XI
John XXII
Urban VI
Boniface IX
St. Pius V
Innocent X
Clement XI
Pius VI
Bl. Pius IX
Leo XIII
Benedict XV
Pius XI
Pius XII
Bl. John XXIII
Paul VI
John Paul I
John Paul II
Benedict XVI

Genesis315 - Wow! Thanks for the comprehensive list. I try (sometimes don’t succeed) to put myself in another’s place and try to at least see their point even if I don’t agree with it, but this whole sedevacantist minset is so far off base I just don’t get it at all.

That outfit is beyond sede … they’re truly right wing extremists. They make the sedes look like flaming commies. Hightail it away.

Gee…a shorter list might be of those they think WERE Pope…

I’m surprised they don’t dismiss Jesus because He didn’t say Mass in Latin and faced His “congregation”…

I guess they believe the “Chair of Peter” hasn’t fallen, because it hasn’t seen much use. 😃

Weird, I was just at that website too. I think I found it by googling SSPX. Never heard of sedevacantism or whatever before.

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: However, on a more somber note I’ve read that website before and they even explain why they are so degrading and mean to others and how it is really just to get their point across…an act of charity in disguise. 🤷 They really attack the Holy Eucharist, if they only knew whom they truly serve.😦
