Grace is imparted to us through Christ’s Body, the Church.I thought we were saved by Gods grace. Salvation is a gift. It is not earned. So much for the cross at calvery. Where does it say in scripture that the church is necessary for salvation?

The references to the Church and Jesus being one and the same are many in the New Testament. Paul heard it direct from the Lord… We hear it in passages like “he who hears you, hears Me…” or “…take it to the Church, and if he does not listen even to the Church…” or “…the pillar and foundation of Truth is the Church…”I thought we were saved by Gods grace. Salvation is a gift. It is not earned. So much for the cross at calvery. Where does it say in scripture that the church is necessary for salvation?
By the Cross, the gates of Heaven were reopened - that was necessary for all of mankind so all could be saved. We have to work out that salvation in fear and trembling, like Paul, and ask for prayers so we don’t lose our salvation/justification - just like St Paul feared some could and would.
We can’t get to the Father, except through the Son, who is Jesus, Who is the Church.

Is that body intact today? Has Jesus come? When the body is united then Jesus will come. Of course none of us know when that is going to happen.If the Church is Jesus and Jesus is necessary for salvation how can the church NOT be necessary for salvation? How do you separate Christ from his Body?
