first of all i didn’t mean hooking up so they could have sex!!! i just meant to match them up in a relationship, because she wants a boyfriend real bad. i try to help both of them out, but now they don’t want to tell me anything which i think is a little rude. So it’s not my business but yet they put it up on facebook for everyone to see? But, they don’t want to share it with a friend? that’s fine, i’m not angry but i don’t agree with the people who replied back. My sister and other friend seem to agree that it was rude also, so i guess maybe you all had to be in the situation to understand my point.
Or maybe you and your sister are seeing the situation from a teenage point of view and we are looking at it from an adult point of view.

So you are implying that i’m immature? i’m sorry but all of your responses are very rude and offending. We all have our own opinions, and i never said i was angry or mad about it - i am upset because they kept it from me when i’ve been a good friend to both of them. If they don’t want to tell me about their relationship that’s fine, but than why should they ask me and expect me to tell them? you don’t know me or these people, so before you start telling me i’m immature , maybe you should see my point of view.

  • So YOU come here ASKING a question.
  • You are given multiple responses from mature, experienced people, many of us parents ourselves.
  • You do not like the responses.
  • So in typical teenage fashion, you get angry and start name-calling.
  • If this is how you act with your friends, I would not tell you anything either.
Time to grow up. It REALLY is NOT a big deal, so stop MAKING it a big deal.

" i’m sorry but all of your responses are very rude and offending. " Your words. That is name-calling.

Our collective opinion in response to your original inquiry seems to point to that you are over-reacting. It is NOT a BIG DEAL!! Get over it and move on already.

Once you are out of junior high, you will look back and see how really silly all of this was!

you’re calling me immature and telling me to grow up, yet i’m the one who is name-calling? I said the comments were rude because you all are telling me to grow up and tell me i’m immature or a teenager when you don’t even know my age, and how is saying that your comments offended me name-calling? i’m not even mad or making it a big deal, but you can be a little nicer when you want to make a point. Even if i’m overreacting, no need to call people immature or teenagers. thanks!

Most kids in junior high or high school ARE teenagers, so how is calling you a teenager a bad thing?

Hey cupcake,
You are young and learning your way in life, just like we all had to.:o At least you are getting this lesson reasonably young. It is my prayer tht you understand and grasp the following. (I’m 45 and not that long ago I faced a fact of life.)

Just because we are friends and or good business acquaintances doesn’t mean that we really are. It was an awakening when I read friend categorization.
The A list friend: is one that you share everything with, knowing that it will never go anywhere. They care about you in a total way. Perhaps like a sister/brother, cousin type.
B lists friend: are people who you do not divulge everything with, yet have a good relationship.
C list: those are basically acquaintances, no expectations from them.
You are learning, just like we all had to. At least you are getting this lesson early in life.
Bless you,
Andrea

I think this was shady of them not to say anything to me, and kinda hurts my feelings that now they don’t even care to share that with me. This girl i think is rude bc all she cares about is finding a guy and when she does she can’t even tell me. What do you all think? Am i overreacting?
Hey Cupcake, I think you’re overreacting. I’m not saying how they’re treating you is how friends should treat each other, but really, I recommend just letting this one roll off your back, and maybe you should take some time to really evaluate your relationship with each of them.
Onto “hooking up” … Why are you “hooking up” your friends? “Hooking up” in current terms generally means “friends with benefits” …premarital sex. .
Obviously this term has shifted back, or now holds double-status.

Thank you! so these friends are not my “A list” friends, but that’s why it hurts because even though i know they aren’t my “best friends” I share things with them and care about their feelings sooo much more than they do mine. Especially this girl, she has no other friends to go out with besides me and i go out with her even if i don’t feel like it just so she can be happy. And, that is why i’m upset. I don’t think they have or should tell me anything, but I would think they would want to. This may sound silly to some people, but i am sensitive i guess.

Hi Cupcake,

Sensitive or silly? Perhaps to those people who do not think and feel the way you do. But for those who think and feel the way you do your not overly sensitive you are just a person like them. Normal and healthy. This is a good thing, a very good thing.
Would it be possible to consider all the people in your lives like the two you mentioned to be “C” type people? With this will come acceptance, and then it will not hurt as much and eventually not at all.
Cup, ( may we be on first name basis? 😉 ) you will still be building unity with all people, it is just now you are amongst people such like yourself.

First and foremost pray. Ask our blessed mother to guide you.
Peace,
Andrea
