Is this satanic?

I recently bought Titanfall 2, and am enjoying it very much. However, something is troubling me… You see, there is this symbol (vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/titanfall/images/4/4b/ApexPredators.JPG/revision/latest?cb=20170106165738) both in multiplayer (where you can actually wear it as a decal) and extensively in singleplayer (as it is the logo of the main villains)that…kind of looks like a demonic alien goat skull.
…And now, I found a reviewer commonsensemedia.org/users/eliazer?page=1 (although, judging from his reviews, he sounds a little unhinged and paranoid…) claiming it is “a satanic goat skull”…
What do you think? Could it just be (as it is sci fi) just an innocuous fictional alien animal skull - or should I start worrying…?

There’s nothing to worry about, it’s only a symbol in a game made for the express purpose of looking edgy so that consumers would use it.

Don’t be fooled it’s a image of Satan without a doubt.

Salutations
Yep, Satanic. Evil only comes in when you invite them in. Get rid of it. Confess it. Sprinkle Holy Water in room, etc. Be careful on what you buy. Satan sneaks in like a thief to steal, kill and destroy.
If chaos starts in the house, tell parents and get house blessed.

Don’t you think you’re overreacting? It’s just a decal from a science fiction (not even fantasy) game that MAY be a reference to the demonic goat head (look closely…the horns don’t match…it looks more like a bull than a goat/ram) completely unrelated to the game’s themes, setting and stories.
No chaos has broken out, and it did not bring any harm or evil in the house…I just wanted some clarification since it looked edgy and grim,as Hope Philomena said, not a guide on exorcising Pazuzu…

Hope Philomena told you what you wanted to hear.

Maybe it is an image of the adversary, but you stated it represented the villian…so pound away at him! Don!t forget your family and religious responsibilities though!

Then why did you ask?
Clearly you have misgivings, and your conscience is telling you to stay away from this game.

Of all the things to do with your life, this is the thing that troubles you.
Maybe spend some time helping others. Maybe play morally benign games. 🤷

Yup. If someone versed in the occult were to scan through, I’m sure they could find a lot more subliminal or hidden symbols. This is apart from the fundamental concept that the game is about shooting people…

I’m glad you are looking at occult influences in what you are watching.

I do not have misgivings and my coscience is not telling me to stay away from it - it is telling me to find the truth so I can stop thinking about it.

And seriously - “of all the things to do with your life, this is the thing that troubles you”? “Maybe spend some time helping others. Maybe play morally benign games”?
Who do you think you are? Seriously, just from a thread you think you know what I do with my life? You think you know what troubles me?
Believe me, I have far more important things troubling me - pratically and spiritually - and I do other things - including helping others - in my free time.
I am just asking a question about something that went through my head, not trying to find the answer to life itself.

Thanks, but I’m not really “watching”: if I stumble into something suspicious, I do some research into it - mostly because there are a lot of misconceptions about occult symbols.
To be honest, most of the times I’m just being overzelous - just because something LOOKS satanic does not mean it is. Take the inverted cross on the pope’s chair - or the buddhist swastika. Both have radically different meanings from the mainstream concept.

Don’t worry, I am not forgetting my duties and not planning to 👍

In fairness to Clare, look at what we know about you. We know that you were thinking about this particular symbol in this particular game and it bothered you enough to come to the forum and start a thread by it.

She’s not telling you what to do so much as offering some good advice that would apply to anyone. Serving others often gives us better perspective. Which is not to make the presumption that you don’t spend time helping others. But who among us could not benefit from spending more time serving others and less time worrying about the frivolities of life. I know I could.

Yes, throughout history, goats have been used to symbolize Satan. In the Gospels, when Jesus talks about separating the sheep from the goats, the sheep are the good ones and the goats are the bad. So it makes sense that this symbolism would be used.

But then, the pagans also used goats to symbolize fertility.

Are the creators of the game intentionally injecting satanic imagery for malicious purposes? You’d have to ask them that question.

Exactly. I started a thread since this worry came only like yesterday, and to avoid banging my head againist the wall about it I chose to ask in the forum - so that, once the question was answered, I could focus fully on more important things.
I see your point about goats - however, I’m not even sure that logo is a goat: horns, as I said, do not match neither with a goat nor with a ram, as they look more cow-ish, and the lower part of the “face” looks more like a lion’s than a goat

For the OP.

The image is a funny looking animal with horns.

That’s all.

Are you in the US? Because games have ratings. I’m not sure what the rating is on this particular game, M games tend to be more graphic and violent.

Is your game very graphic and violent? If it is, then that might be more of a problem than a funny looking animal with horns.

Also, is the funny looking thing with horns a character in the game? He is a villain?

I used to play Final Fantasy, the version that came out in 1999 or 2000. Some of the bosses looked evil, but they were just characters. There was a sorceress, she was evil, and part of the game was to defeat her.

Also, are you scrupulous in general? That is difficult to deal with, I would suggest if you were, to find a good confessor, and let him know you are scrupulous.

I’m a person that answered a thread on an anonymous forum.

Unsubscribing. It appears you have made up your mind. 🤷
Good luck.

Well…no, I’european, but: 1) Rating is more or less the same here 2) I am over 20, so its not a big issue
To answer your other questions:
Yes, it is pretty violent but being science fiction is not just gratuitously gory or brutal, most of the action is between manned humanoid mechs anyway
No, it is the symbol of the main villains, a mercenary organization called “apex predators” made of humans, all piloting giant mechs, but non having horns or demonic features whatsoever (therefore adding to my confusion, since they have no ties to the occult)
Uh…why should I tell a confessor I’m scrupolous? It’s not a sin or anything…
To answer your Final Fantasy comment: indeed the purpose of the game is to eliminate evil, but as far as I recall, everything is fictional in FF: the characters, the magic, the evil symbols…
On the other hand, demonic symbols (inverted pentagrams and the likes) are real and, while we could argue its power, roots and meanings, I think it’s not safe to dabble with them, mainly because they’re…well, “occult”. You never know what could happend - were we, it would be science, not occult - hidden knowledge
