Is it the sin of pride if I were to imagine a situation in my head where I did something amazing or people congratulating me?

it;s hard to answer because it depends. As a principle, don’t be too scrupulous, it is nice to be acknowledged, i would remember to be grateful to God for the ability to accomplish something and offer it to him even in an imaginary scenario. Still, you can be sure of how to look at this (if it is too much can be a sin) talking about it during confession

Getting to Heaven is doing something amazing, via God’s grace, and many Saints will congratulate you!

I think if praise becomes your only reason for doing anything it would be, but occasional daydreaming is healthy for the mind.

Hi @michael-kaw Your should give immediately Glory to God at least interior. it is because only by His Grace we can do everything as in Psalms 115:1 Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to your name give glory,
for the sake of your steadfast love and your faithfulness.and in Isaiah 26:12 O Lord, you will ordain peace for us,for indeed, all that we have done, you have done for us.
1 Corinthians 4:7 For who sees anything different in you? What do you have that you did not receive? And if you received it, why do you boast as if it were not a gift?
James 1:17 17 Every generous act of giving, with every perfect gift, is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.
.As Jesus said in Luke 17:10 So you also, when you have done all that you were ordered to do, say, ‘We are worthless slaves; we have done only what we ought to have done!’”
It is because we may become proud unknowingly.God Bless
