And, King Henry VIII didn’t try to even touch the issue of Transubstantiation during his reign, so engrained was this belief in the faithful of England (and even in his own heart, really).
AND there are plenty of studies out there that show that pre-Vatican II, the vast majority of Catholics attended Mass weekly AND believed in the Real Presence.
