The Blessed Mother would be with all sick children, I am sure, as well as adults. She is the Mother of all. How authentic the picture is makes me wonder. Only an expert could tell I suppose but it is a very strange photo all the way around, I will keep her and her family in my prayers. God Bless, Memaw
 
Looks like a problem with development of the negative. It could also just be an altered photo, using one of any number of editing programs.

I don’t think this looks like the Vigin Mary myself; but I agree that with God all things are possible.
 
I am always skeptic of these photos, though if the anomaly is there, it is there. We do not know whether ultimately this was a supernatural happening, and if yes, if it was from the Lord (be it Our Lady, an angel, a saint, a kind soul from purgatory, or what not) or not. But I am glad that it proved to be edifying to the family (obviously if they even mention the Blessed Virgin, they are necessarily Catholic), and to all of us who in such things see a reinforcement of that which we already know: that in God’s divine providence we have a caring Mother and innumerable heavenly friends looking over us 🙂
 
Thanks for sharing this news story, I think the image does look like the BVM however as said, these kinds of things would need to be examined to make sure the photo has not been tampered with.
