Someone at work today told me that he heard off the news or radio that certain radical muslims are calling for the Pope’s execution. Has anyone else heard this? Animals! These radicals are such unGodly animals, filled with utter hatred it’s sickenen. Why can’t they just settle the matter by conversation and debate? If the Pope was wrong on a doctrine on Islam, or is ignorant of their faith, why not just correct him? But obviously the Pope proved a point.

The proof is in the pudding. May God have mercy.

Yes, many in and outside the Middle East have called for the murder (or execution as they put it) of the Pope.

You use this language about the Muslim Community and they’ll probably come after you too.

So stateing that religion should not be used to justify violence is grounds for execution among Muslims?

While I don’t agree with the violence incited by the Pope’s speech at Regensburg, I don’t think it warrants calling those involved “Animals” or “Un-Godly animals” or anything of the like. Those “radical Muslims” are still made in the image of God and, as such, they ought not be called “Animals” or “Un-Godly animals”. They deserve our prayers, from one group of sinners to another.

I don’t know, but experience teaches us that many of these people are irrational when confronted with criticism of their religious beliefs…however justified that criticism is. So, if you refer to them as animals? Yeah, that would probably get you killed in many places of the world.

It certainly is time for us to pray for our Holy Father to be kept safe from those who would attempt to take his life. Obviously we as Catholics have very different beliefs than those in the Muslim community, but this should only spur us on to pray for them as well. We should passionately interecede for their salvation through Christ just as He instructed us.

The taliban have warned of an attack of the vatican…the quote is"the pope will weep as the vatican is struck".

I couldn’t belive what i was reading,its a big concern.

In my opinion, the pope shouldnt go to turkey…as i seriously fear for his safety.

AMEN - Aureole!
My thoughts exactly. 👍
