Is Tulsi Gabbard a baptized Catholic?

I realize that Tulsi practices a form of Hinduism, but her father is Catholic, and I am wondering if he had her baptized as a Catholic in her infancy. Does anyone know?

Not sure, but I know that she’s the lone Democrat taking a strong stand for religious freedom.

She is overall the least objectionable of the Democratic candidates (though still pro-choice, with some restrictions, and pro-gay marriage), and that’s why I’m voting for her. I try to pull the Democratic party as far towards the direction of the Gospel as possible (that’s a big job!), though I am not formally a member, our state doesn’t do party registration.

In the general election, I plan to vote for Trump, who is arguably the best pro-life president we’ve ever had. He has kept his promise to appoint conservative federal judges and Supreme Court justices.

Googling I found that she grew up in the Catholic faith and then as a teenager got into Hinduism.

Well, I do care. I want everyone in the world to be Catholic. I care more about souls than for anything else in the world. Compared to the greater glory of God and the salvation of souls, everything else in the world is trivial and not worth worrying about.

She is baptised Catholic but since her teens she is a practising Hindu.

I am very happy to know this, and to know that Mr Gabbard cared enough for the soul of his daughter, to have her baptized — Mrs Gabbard is the Hindu in the family (and strangely enough, a white American woman — hey, it happens, look at Ram Dass, requiescat in pace).

If Tulsi made any sort of reversion to Catholicism, and if she would make any substantial moves towards being pro-life, she would make an extremely attractive alternative to Trump. Tulsi presses a lot of buttons — a woman, a person of color, veteran in active duty reserves, anti-war activist, homeschooled, young, reasonably well-educated, well-spoken, advocate for universal health care. (And speaking from the standpoint of a normal straight male, not difficult to look at either ). There would be much to like about her, and very little not to. We could do far worse than to elevate her in prayer, and hope for the best.
