I help with high school youth group which is right after the Sunday evening mass. There is some chance of bad weather tomorrow night but it isn’t for certain. If I wait until the Sunday evening mass and it turns out to be bad weather would that be a sin because I waited instead of going to a morning mass when I knew there was a chance of a storm. (I don’t mean a little rain but ice covering the roads)

Dear friend,

Go to Mass in the morning. The youth group meeting should be canceled if the weather could be as bad as you suggest. And yes, missing Mass would be a sin. Mass is a lot more important that a meeting, It is the greatest thing that happens on the face of the earth!
