Is watching disaster movies a sin?

[Isaac]

Hi, I’m kind of scrupulous, and I really like disaster movies like earthquake, tornadoes, asteroids and so on. I also like EAS scenarios on youtube and sometimes I want to create one.

Only I was wondering if liking or producing works on disasters would be a sin.
Sorry for the spelling mistakes, I’m from another country.

Hi Isaac!

Welcome!

Scrupulosity is a mental illness and needs professional assistance to treat it. We can’t help you here. See a therapist or another medical professional.

Wish you well.

I’m kind of scrupulous,

Please seek regular spiritual direction from your priest and refrain from posting random “is this a sin” posts on the internet.

Only I was wondering if liking or producing works on disasters would be a sin.

What makes you wonder this?

Talk to your Priest about getting help for your scruples.

No. It is not a sin.

I would think not.
