Is your Salvation God’s Will?
Why is it that non-Catholic, or “Born-again” Christians, say that they “know for a fact” that they will go to heaven because they believe; “That Once Saved Always Saved” or “OSAS”, or that their Salvation is “guaranteed”.
These same non-Catholic, or “Born-again” Christians will also use the term “God willing”; That is of course, when it applies to everything else, except their Final Judgment or their Salvation?
Then it is by their actions, of going through the process; or act; or work; or ceremony; what ever you want to call it and by citing a specific prayer: that they are now “Born again”, that they are now “Saved”.
Where does God’s “Final Judgment” come into all of this after you die, since for all “Born Agains” you are already “Save”?
So is God’s “Final Judgment” just a formality? Or is that something “Born Agains” get to avoid to avoid altogether?
I don’t get it? And this belief doesn’t square with the Bible.
You have taken it (Final Judgment) away from God, that which His, and His alone, Final Judgment.
Why does the bible even discuss the “Final Day of Judgment ” if it isn’t necessary for every body who is “Born Again”?
Why is it that the same people who can recognize a Christian truth such as, “Every thing is by Gods Will”, will argue, and will refuse to recognize that “everything”; Includes “God’s Will” in their Final Judgment, on the “Final Day of Judgment”, which by the way, hasn’t occurred yet?
Why aren’t non-Catholic, Christians willing to acknowledge that their very Salvation, the most important decision God makes regarding them, is also “God’s Will”?
I think we need to approach God and our faith from a position of humility. It is much more humble to say, “I hope to go to heaven, God willing”, then it is to boast, “I know that I have been “Saved” and therefore I am going to heaven…
People who are Baptized and believe in Jesus Christ, can all have a certain degree of assurance or hope in their Salvation but to boast or say to another; “I know for sure that I am "Saved” and going to heaven, is just wrong, and is going to lead many down the path which leads to hell…
I have heard non-Catholic, or “Born-again” Christians say things like “it’s not right to judge other people”; However they have already judged themselves, that they are “Once Saved Always Saved”.
The main problem is the word “believe”;
For non-Catholic, or “Born-again” Christians, to “believe” means; to believe that Jesus Christ died for them and their sins, or their Salvation, in that’s it.
For Catholics, to “believe” means; to believe in all of Jesus’ life, everything he said, taught, did, instructed and passed down to us, including the Sacraments. We are to believe it all! And we are to act upon what we were taught and to do what He instructed us to do, all of it, not just the parts we agree with or like.
The most important “will of God” or action of God, for you personally, all of us, is the decision God makes, after we die, on the “Final Day of Judgment” regarding our Salvation or our “Final Judgment”.
To boast of a “Guaranteed Salvation” is not humble and when someone makes that statement, they are making an “infallible” judgment that belongs to God and God alone.
I find it interesting that Non-Catholic Christians have a problem with the “Infallibility of the Pope”, when they in fact are all “Infallible” when it comes to the interpreting the Bible and when it comes to their “guaranteed” Salvation.
