One other thing: at the beginning of Mass our pastor pointed out that a group had taken out a full-page ad about the Divine Mercy in our local (secular) newspaper that day – I got it later and it was wonderful! 👍
How wonderful !! 👍

All,

I have seen signs of Christians beginning to “shout it to the rooftops” myself. Just yesterday in the other community that I went to Divine Mercy in, there was a huge ad billboard that said “GOD IS PRO LIFE” with the cutest picture of a baby.👍 Yesterday was a GREAT day!!

In Light,

Thanks for the tips on starting one. I will contact Spiritual Life Ministry to see what we can do.🙂

Yes.

Mass was full, so we only had a tiny fragment of the host for adoration:)

There was only a one-line mention of Divine Mercy Sunday in the Pastor’s weekly letter in the bulletin and a one-sentence mention during Sunday mass – presumably so that no one can complain that it was completely ignored. Our parish has a small Divine Mercy icon – which was purchased with money specifically donated for this purpose – which was put out on Sunday and is now put away, presumably 'til next year.

Fortunately, we do have some people in the parish who are very interested in spreading the devotion and they put together a service that involved Eucharistic Adoration, Benediction, Rosary, a Litany and, of course, the chaplet. This year, a deacon helped with the Benediction. Our pastor, who is a wonderful servant of God, does not discourage, but definitely does not encourage, devotion to the Divine Mercy. Several of us cannot figure out why he does not like it. However, we are blessed to have him leading our parish.

God bless,
Dan

We had adoration and reconcilation on Sunday and at Mass we had incense. Our parish did the whole thing, it was very beautiful. I loved it because he also spoke about it a bit before we began Mass which was good because I have daughters and I could tell they were listening. Even though my 13 yr old likes to act like she doesn’t care  😃 We had little cards that you could pick up that had the image on the front and the prayer on the back also a few words explaining what the colors streaming from Jesus means.
