I agree with what you are saying, to a certain extent, distracted.I tend to believe that if it is NOT… it is not your true vocation…

for sure… my parents had 9 children… at great sacrifice… it cost them their sanity…Your cross is only a subset of your vocation. In your vocation, there will be trials, cross, joy, happiness, hope, faith, etc …
Who will deny there isn’t any cross for being a parent?![]()

wow… that’s an amazing story… Could you please keep us apprised of how things turn out?I’m called to the Catholic priesthood.
I’m not Catholic.
My family isn’t Catholic.
They don’t want me to be Catholic.
They REALLY don’t want me to be a priest.
one more thing: why do you want to be a priest??wow… that’s an amazing story… Could you please keep us apprised of how things turn out?
What religion were you raised in? I am wondering how you got interested in the Catholic faith… Were you taught to be anti-Catholic??
Very interesting question, “distracted”. Hmm. Not sure of the answer, though.I tend to believe that if it is NOT… it is not your true vocation…

Thank you for offering a fine question to consider, distracted.
I found the question helpful, in sorting out my own thoughts.

Wow… that is what i was just getting ready to say to YOU… It was a pleasure reading what you wrote…
You have been in various vocations…
Please pray for me to find the vocation God wants for me. I don’t thikn He wants me to stay in the one i am in (being single). I could be wrong… but one day i asked God what vocation HE wnated (thought that I had wanted to be a nun, have investigated it and got “nowhere”… )… and i heard the word Marriage in my head… that was yrs ago & i still am not married…
and don’t wnat to be… Just want to do what God wants, not my own will… (at least i THINK i do…:whacky: ::
:hypno:
God bless you…![]()
they were very helpful… Even though i already learned this… it is always good to have it confirmed in one’s mind…while a person might not consider his/her vocation to be a cross… that eventually, “The Cross”… WILL come to us all. That “The Cross”, will eventually be integrated into ones life (vocation). If we believe what we profess, as Christians… it seems almost inevitable (No Cross, no Resurrection).
Not sure if my comments are helpful, but thank you for allowing me to participate!God bless.
hmm… well, maybe a few years ago, i would have said the same thing… but now… I would have to disagree… but i am afraid its a very long story WHY i disagree… I don’t disagree totally, though. I know that, for one thing, every vocation has its own particular crosses… I think it matter what vocation you are in because you will learn and grow one way in one vocation and in another way in another vocation… and God knows what way we need to grow in (the most)… We don’t know, so we always need to pray & seek His will and not our own or the devil’s or whoever’s…. In other words, I don’t think which particular vocation is all that important in terms of “your cross”.
One thing though, I am at a point in life where I am not at all curious about where is my cross./QUOTE]
you mean you dont’ know where your cross is? Hmm… i am not sure i understand this…![]()
Have you ever spent a lot of time at the Blessed Sacrament? If i ever have doubts about such things, Jesus sets me straight the longer i stay in His Presence in the Church…![]()

good advice… easier said than done… but not impossible… (just seems like itWe are all called to pick up our crosses and follow Jesus, His Cross is our vocation.
Pray as Jesus does
Act like Jesus
React like Jesus
Give of your self as Jesus
Treat others as if they were Jesus
Speak like Jesus
Forgive as Jesus forgives
Help the sick, poor, needy as Jesus does
Why is the CC in England in such bad shape?I’m called to the Catholic priesthood.
I’m not Catholic.
My family isn’t Catholic.
They don’t want me to be Catholic.
They REALLY don’t want me to be a priest.
The Catholic Church in England is a bit rubbish (understatement, read “abysmal”), so its a case of put up with it or emigrate! lol!
So yeah, its not going to be easy. But I can’t wait![]()
