Islam, a response of an angered man, or a revelation of God?

As I read from the Qu’ran, I feel somekind of rage, somekind of upset. Lots of emotions and lots of efforts trying to reestablish the unitarian belief of God. In my opinion, Islam is a new religion to respond to the pagans of Mecca, the Jews, and to the Christians whose new approach of the God who is not merely a ruler, but a merciful Father, who is not one, but actually three persons.

Or is it a revelation of God who wants to change, to reform his people and turn them to the light?
 
I guess the answer would be depending on who you asked. I’m not sure if I understand what you’re trying to say though? If you ever get a chance to hear the Qur’an being chanted in arabic, it really is worth it. The Arabs do a great job when it comes to perfecting this sort of stuff, I even saw an Antiochian Nativity hymn once on YouTube in Arabic which was pretty awesome.

It’s important to remember too that many heretics and sects were fleeing persecution by the Romans and Byzantines during Muhammad’s time, so it’s not surprising if he had a lot of incorrect ideas about what exactly we believe.

It is interesting to note many tell me the first time Muhammad (pbuh) had a super natural experience he thought it was a demonic experience but his wife told him it was a revelation for Allah.
I dont think we can ever know exactly what the circumstance of the people were but your looking at the experiences of the time is important.
Given other nations had some varied ideas of goddesses and so on it is understandable that there would have been some misinformed new “Christians” that would have needed some correction to seek The One true God. The pagan people of that nation had some 360 gods.
The Quran does direct this understanding forsaking any others.

Today it is difficult for people who were raised in Quranic derived traditions to see truth in others. In part maybe due to our ambiguous speech ie in Catholic Mass every one Amens ALL glory honour and praise is you Almighty Father ( the Father personality of God) for ever and ever. But when the Glory be is prayed Glory is given to Yahooshua (pbwh) (the son personality of God). These “contradictions” are difficult to explain to some one who discerns rather than give blind faith.
IMO a fair question is which statement do Catholics believe as from outside by Catholic choice of wording Catholics can appear confused.

IMO Best Catholics can do if they believe they are in the right religion is understand that Catholics believe worship the same God and support Muslims in doing good.

While it seems that the Quran might deny the crucifixion, Muslims do for sure deny it.

Yes the Quran is full of many violence and hateful verses. I find this so funny-Geert Wilders used Islam’s own Quranic verses to show the hate- he is under trial for saying Islam is full of hate?!?

Years ago I approached Ithe study of Islam with the thought Mohammad was possibly a prophet.

What he really experienced -Temporal Lobe Seizures. The cave experience was not the first time he had a seizure.

Consider this- no one ever experienced what Mohmmad did- no eyewitnesses.People saw him when he was having a visit, but never saw the visitor, the discription fits him having a seizure.

Atheists like to attribute Temporal Lobe Seizures to Paul’s experience on the road to Damascus. As much as we love our Christian faith, it would be a horrible thought to think that way… but anything’s possible.

Physical conditions are much embraced by those who seek to discredit others. Seek and you will find. is true for all humans.
For me even if the great apostle Paul (pbuh) experience can be understood by physical condition of the brain it is the fruit that comes from it that counts. God can work in all situations.
One can debunk an “athiest” by offering many people today who have diagnosable conditions often have very bad behaviour toward others.

Best i can see he was used to bring good news to gentiles that Yahooshua (pbwh) had been sent to give to the Jews.

One could argue similarly in the Arabic world they had some 360 gods and were be blessed to be told that there is One God and no others.

It is good to be mindful that from bible narrations the descendants of Ishmael (pbuh) were not to be of the same covenant but were to be blessed by the One God.

I feel we often look at the Arabic people of that time and place having the same opportunity as the Jews and Christians of that time.

If the bible says and you believe its Gods word that there is difference in people then why would He change.

Those Quranic texts most see as hate pertain to specific people and specific times.

God used Moses (pbuh) and his followers to remove false god worshippers. For the people of the New covenant it seems very wrong but we know God was right.

IMO if Christians view all Quranic passages as instruction pertaining to how they should treat people today, it feeds the same darkness some Quranic people today suffer.
You have been given life what spiritual forces to you give it to?

For Catholic people when you are spending time with your Islamic neighbours do they profess hate to you or do they offer you hospitality? I say Catholic as an example as i know they are ALL called to be active people in out reach to others so have very personal contact with their Muslim neighbours, IE here in Australia we have BBQs with halal meat and so on. i guess some other religions would do similar as it is Christ like behaviour in todays setting.
Of course those who do not have personal contact with Muslims would have nothing to say.
This is only speaking for people i societies similar to my own, i respect lots of people live in other places where “Islamic” practice is to apply aspects of the Quran to their desire of power, not that of Allah The Most Merciful.

IME they believe Muslims are entitled to take an eye for an eye, but if treated as the bible narrations reflect they are better friends than atheists who embrace abortion and gay marriage etc.

I know the TV reports for the most parts show Muslims as out to rid the world of un believers by force but i credit Christians to not follow the TV as it is known corrupt feeding people with bad news spinning it as they like, not to the benefit of humanity.
I dont say entirely as our media showed many examples of Muslims pitching in with all Aussies to clean up after our recent natural events.

Interest also is in our diocese is our priests have very high incidence of brain tumours and other brain related illness, it is way higher than the statistics of population. At an of the top of my head in our current priests it would be like 1 in 5.

May God / Allah bless and guide us all to the straight path.
