When Prophets spoke, they spoke the Word of God. When you speak, you speak your words. I agree with you.

We use words to express our opinion. It may or may not be right.

God, however, is Truth itself, and anything he speaks is Truth.

Our character is determined by the way we express ourselves. Think of God in the same way, if he expresses his opinion on something, then that is part of Him, because it is true.

Just a quick side-bar. Please don’t assume every Muslim is violent or arrogant. Just like we can’t assume every Catholic is good. I cannot agree with the religion of Islam and I do not believe the quran is the uncorrupted word of God (a Muslim would have to say the same about the Bible). However, I personally know several Muslims from Morocco and they are very good hearted and extremely open to dialogue. The Pope has called on the two faiths to have dialogue so let’s do it. (I’m reminded of a song “They will know we are Christians by our love”. Well, let’s show 'em our love.)

Muhammad is correct like Abraham was correct. Abraham worshipped God and only God. Whoever has seen any of the Prophets has seen God. They were all created from his light.

Why Muhammad(saw) had to be born of a vigin to be correct?

We do not see apparitions of Mary nor of Aminah.

Let me ask you this. Why debate here at all? Do you hope to convert Catholics to Islam? All a Catholic has to do is read a few basic verses from the Koran to be completely and totally dumbfounded by the evil that Muhammed preached. Most muslims know this, yet attempts are made to convince Catholics that Islam is valid. Why bother?

I was actually tempted in the past to convert to Islam. Then I understood that Islam was only appealing to my male ego. Islam is totally appealing to the flesh. If I’m Islamic I can justify hating anyone who is not like me and I can treat women like objects all day long. And I can do it all with Gods permission.

If you want to compair Muhammed and Jesus, you must examine the fact that Jesus had no dominating male ego and Muhammed did. This is the clear seperation between that which is spirit and that which is flesh. Proof of this male ego driven basis in Islam is the poor treatment of women in Islam.

sufi, yes that is an invite. Please do not use terms that may deceive. The Word of God is God. So when you use it in a way that deviates from it’s real meaning that seems deceptive to us. Terms must be properly defined. When the Bible says that Jesus is the Logos of God it means he is God. It is wonderful that God becomes one of us for our salvation. It shows God’s love for us.
