If it’s a broad-stroke belief than it’s what they believe. If you are offended by a belief then good, keep it in mind. That’s what’s wrong with people today they don’t know the underlying facts because they would rather not be offended by what’s staring them in the face.

Kathleen Glee what does the mention of sins of the flesh have to do with my post on Islam apparition??? I was asking if there were any examples of apparitions in Islam much like those the Catholic Church actually recognize (i.e. Our Lady of Fatima).

What i wanted to say is that islam and judaism have a lot more in common(according to a muslim point of view) then muslims and christians,and since we see islam as the only perfect truth then of course judaism is closer to it then christianity.Christians believe in trinity,they pray to a lot of saints etc…its very strange to islam,we called it shirk(polytheism).I know you will say its not but the hindus claim the same thing 😉

bosnian-Muslim, it is the Christians who provide peace from the presence of God in the Holy Land.
 
I have found that Islam is actually a synthesis of mixture of beliefs from the Middle East that drew from both Judaism and Christianity.

The Christ of Islam is not the true Christ.

But where I think Islam and Christianity is the same is with Mary, the Mother of Jesus. She is the Mother of Hope.

I hope that in spite of the Christians’ sins in Europe, that the Muslims will respect them atleast for making it nice for them to live in their lands. It is a sin to disrespect the host country, and to plan to take over, and another sin to consider yourself superior.

Pride is the worst sin and Satan is a liar and a thief.

Bosnian Muslim, do not come here to insult and put down…that is being inferior.

No, in no way is Christianity inferior. By its universal help for everyone, and not for just its own people, shows the power of the transcendence of Christ.

Well Bosnia is a part of Europe,and bosnian muslims are white europeans…so i dont know what you are talking about? what hosts? we are no immigrants in Europe(bosnian muslims)

That’s an interesting observation and one we could profitably debate but it’s also irrelevant. No matter how much the Koran resembles the Old Testament it’s no substitute for actually considering the Old Testament holy scripture, as Christians do.

well as a matter of fact muslims do consider it holy

we just believe its not in its original form anymore

All religious muslims and jews know how close islam and judaism are,there was a poll in Israel last year, asking who do you consider closer,muslims or christians.The secular jews answered mostly christians while the religious(orthodox) jews answered muslims

Can we agree that theologically Islam and Judaism may be closer (due to their shared insistence on God’s oneness), but *scripturally *Christianity and Judaism are closer? The inescapable fact is that the Koran and the Bible are simply different scriptures.

This may seem like hair-splitting to you but we are talking about a fairly complex situation here.
 
I think Isa is also supposed to return to earth to herald or bring about the end of the world. I don’t in any way think that the fact that Isa/Christ is a prophet in Islam means much in terms of inter-religious dialogue (he’s the central figure in Christianity but a peripheral one in Islam, for one thing), but at the same time I find it baffling that anyone would deny the parallels that exist in order to make a rhetorical point.

The only thing mohamad got right was that Our Lord Jesus Christ was born of a virgin and yes, her name was Mariam in the koran.

Everything else about Our Lord in the koran is all twisted.

And if you are going to ask me next if I’ve read the koran and the tafsirs, yes I have.

Yes, islams Isa will return for the end of times, and according to islamic scripture & teachings, Isa will:

Break all of the Crosses

Distroy Christianity

Make islam the global religion.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that Isa will kill the swine as well.

Why would Allah condemn you on earth for lust, drunkeness, and homosexuality but allow this in Muslim heaven?
