what is modernity?
I am a guy who work at a big 4 International accounting frim. My sister holds a masters in computer science. We both played sports for a good while in our lives and we both are univeristy graduates and persuing post graduate studies. we both drive cars use labtops have lovely christyian neighbours and have the bible in our library.
We both have good jobs thank God . Now what do u want me to do more?
I dont feel ANY problem between me bieng a conservative muslim and bieng modern. In fact myu faith never persecutred scientists!!!

Well there is a difference to persecute a scientist and to stop a man from changing the Faith. So he is not a scientist who discovered that the earth rotates around the sun. Second thing is that he wasnt even harmed for that . What happened is that he was secluded from people . On the Other hand teh catholic church has Killed scientists .
Well if i am previoliged person then may be teh soloution is to make people previliged also . Then the problem has notrhing to do with Islam it has to do with economy and oppurtunities available. The sharia is actually applied in Egypt and many othr countries and is working fine. whats the problem with it ? I dont see any problem in sharia here in Egypt . As for honor killing its not a part of any islamic doctrine. Let me tell you funny that it happens in Christians from the middle east too. Its a cultural thing. With education it will go. Actually with proper islamic education it will go away . The thing is that most who do it are week muslims who dont know their faith.
