homosexuals must do that Question:
What is required of the man who repents homosexuality?

Answer:

It is obligatory on both of them - the active and the passive partners - to repent to Allah urgently, passionately and sincerely for no worse combination of punishments was sent by Allah as the ones in the case of the people of Lut (asws), who used to commit this filthy crime. The combination of punishments was as follows:
  1. They were blinded and left groping, as Allah said, “fa-tamasna a’yoonahum” (i.e., blinded them).
  2. A thunderous cry (tore their hearts) (al-sayha)
  3. Their homes were turned upside down.
  4. Allah rained upon them a storm of stones of baked clay prepared specifically for them and destroyed them completely.
Accordingly the punishment if Islam for sodomy is death whether the two involved are married or unmarried. Said the Prophet (peace be upon him): “Whomsoever you find committing the act, kill them: both the active and the passive partners.” (Abu Dawood, Tirmidhi, and Ibn Majah, authenticated sahih by al-Albani, Arwaa’ ul-Ghaleel 2350

or they are put into death

islam here is better than christianity which dont speak about who repent put order to put into death

Why can’t we start this one on the basis of what we have in common first…

  1. *]Muslims and Catholics believe that homosexual acts are disordered and wrong.
*]Acting upon sexual urges outside of marriage is wrong
    *]Birth control is wrong
*]Repentance for sins and ceasing the offensive action is what is necessary to restore the offender to grace.
Not so hard really… now let’s talk about punishment:
Catholics believe that a person who indulges in pre/extramarital sex is cutting themselves off from God. This self exile leads to loss of salvation. This is the biggest consequence for these actions.

There are many things about Islam that are good… and we really need to acknowledge that the religion at least has a moral code much closer to our own than many of our Protestant Christians.

  1. You made a good post. And you said that Catholics believe that when a person indulges in pre/extramarital sex is cutting themselves off from God. This is also true in Islam. Zina (adultry) is one of the MAJOR sins. Zina includes extramarital sex, premarital sex, and that is whether it is a man or a woman committing it.

I was recently listening to a lecture “When Wolves Become Shephards” by Muhammad AlShareef, discussing the devil’s techniques and how to fight him. In this lecture, he quoted a hadith that said that when a Muslim commits Zina, at the time they commit Zina they are not considered a Muslim by Allah. That means that I as a single female, if I have sex, when I am doing this, I am not being recognized as a Muslim by Allah.

And while Zina is forgivable with repentance, it is a sin that is not so easily removed from your book of deeds… it is a major no no and it does take you away from God.

Birth Control is permitted in Islam.

This is the biggest consequence for these actions. Depending on the Country/State the offender may also in the case of adultery, may be subject to other punitive action like divorce or prosecution and in the case of sex with a minor almost certainly there will be legal consequences by the State. What are the consequences to a Muslim that commits such an offense? Please include whether the punishment comes from the religion or from the State governing body…and which governing authority.

See, much better… we should never assume that even if it is a Muslim country, that the laws are purely Muslim.

There are many things about Islam that are good… and we really need to acknowledge that the religion at least has a moral code much closer to our own than many of our Protestant Christians.

Now those who know me know that I am with the Church on her moral teachings. I don’t think homosexuality is okay and I believe homosexual acts are sins. However, I don’t think we should kill or flog homosexuals. Don’t think the ole’ cest is going soft! I am a certified redneck from childhood. But while I don’t want them as scoutleaders neither would I support chopping their heads off.

Muslims however think differently. They do execute homosexuals or otherwise punish them. Would any of the Muslims here like to try and justify this or explain it?
gay or, perhaps infidel? not good is it for a child of Christ to start to deny?
and yet our society condemns us as christians and without, the intensity of hate required for a society? How much does intolerance balances?

I spent some time out in the provinces of Afghanistan and I can tell that quite a bit of “buggering” and homosexual behavior goes on in towns with few women around. My platoon would roll into a town and a few men would saunter up to us with a special glint in their eye, if you know what I mean. I tried to chalk this extra-friendly attitude up to cultural differences, but when I asked my interpreter from Kabul, Muhammad John, about it he said something to the effect of: “In Kabul we know better than that. They do this in the provinces but it is against Islam.”

I’m no expert on the Koran, but it doesn’t seem to matter what their religion teaches with regards to sexual morality – some people just do what they want anyway. I find it very interesting that in our country we associate a more relaxed morality with urban centers, while in their society it is well-known that the country-folk are more relaxed in their practice of Islam.

Given everything the folk in that country has gone through, i wouldnt be surprised if they didnt know what was right and wrong.
