If we look at history, both Christian & Muslim, such instances of encroachment, or even domination, are all to common. Indeed, Islam was spread by conquest - much in the same way Western Europe spread itself several hundred years later. Along such a train of thought, we would eventually find ourselves having āproblemsā with everyone. The āinvaderā excuse is subject to limitless permutations and thus we must exclude it, and any other manifestation of positivism, from our conversations. At least IMHO.
But in saying, āthe Arabs themselves have no real problem with the Jews until after WW2ā, would to ignoring the events of the past 1200 years. I need only highlight the behaviour of the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem from the early 20th Century, during WW2 and beyond.
