According to Islam, why was Jesus born of a Virgin? Mohammed is supposedly the greatest and last prophet, whereas Jesus was a prophet only for the Jews…yet in Islam, the fact that Jesus was born of a VIRGIN–a great miracle unprecedented in the history of mankind–seems to carry no particular significance. Doesn’t the fact that Christ was born of the Virgin Mary indicate that He is more than just another prophet?

(Now in all seriousness Mohammed probably picked up the story of the miraculous Virgin Birth of Christ from some Christians and then added it to the Quran during one of his hallucinations. And Christ was born of a Virgin, of course, because He is the Son of God eternally begotten from the Father, in fact, He is God made flesh). But what significance to Mohammedans ascribe to this event?

It was a sign mentioned in the OT so people would believe that he is THE MESSIAH

It was a sign mentioned in the OT so people would believe that he is THE MESSIAH
(1)Jesus being born of a Virgin is simply a “sign” to prove He is the Messiah? That’s it? Why were none of the other prophets born of virgins to prove they were really from God? And what are some signs from God that accompanied Mohammed’s lifetime that would cause people to believe he is the final messenger?

(2)What is a “Messiah” according to Islam and how is this different from being any other kind of prophet (such as Mohammed)? It appears that Mohammed just picked up some terminology and concepts from Christianity (Messiah, Virgin conception & birth, etc.) without giving a thought to their meaning or significance.

Nicolas, here is the passage in the Old Testament you referred to that foretells the Virgin Birth:
“Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign. Behold a virgin shall conceive and bear a son: and his name shall be called Emmanuel.” (Isaias 7.14)

Here is its fulfillment:
"Now the generation of Christ was in this wise. When his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child, of the Holy Ghost. Whereupon Joseph her husband, being a just man and not willing publicly to expose her, was minded to put her away privately. But while he thought on these things, behold the angel of the Lord appeared to him in his speep, saying: Joseph, son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary, thy wife, for that which is concieved in her, is of the Holy Ghost. And she shall bring borth a son: and thou shalt call his name JESUS. For he shall save his people from their sins. now all this was done that it might be fulfilled which the Lord spoke by the prophet, saying, Behold a virgin shall be with child and bring forth a son: and they shall call his name EMMANUEL,which being interpreted is, God with us." (Matthew 1:18ff)

And here:
“In the sixth month, the angel Gabriel was sent from God into a city of Galilee, called Nazareth, to a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David: and the virgin’s name was Mary. And the angel being come in, said unto her: Hail, full of grace, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women. Who having heared, was troubled at his saying and thought with herself what manner of salutation this should be. And the angel said to her: Fear not, Mary, for thou has found grace with God. Behold thou shalt conceive in thy womb and shalt bring forth a son: and thou shalt call his name Jesus. He shall be great and shall be called the Son of the Most High. And the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of David his father: and he shall reign in the house of Jacob forever. And of his kingdom there shall be no end. And Mary said to the angel: How shall this be done, because I know not man? And the angel answering, said to her: The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee and the power of the Most High shall overshadow thee. And therefore also the Holy [child] which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.”
(Luke 1:26ff)

Here we see that Jesus is born of the Virgin Mary, not only because He is the Messiah (Christ), but because He is, in fact, GOD IN THE FLESH (God with us, Emmanuel), the Son of God (an expression which basically means that He is actually God Himself), and a King who will reign forever and ever.

But Muslims accept none of the above. Besides that, according to the Mohammedan book (the Quran), the Virgin birth couldn’t have been a “sign” to prove He is the Messiah because Mary’s relatives did not believe she was a Virgin–and they did not believe until the Child Jesus spoke to them in the cradle and proclaimed himself to be a prophet. They accepted Him on the basis of His having spoken to them while still an infant, not on the basis of His having been born of a Virgin. So again, what is the significance of Jesus’ miraculous Virgin birth in Islam?

In Islam, we do NOT judge what our Creator wants to will into being.

Again, we do not judge our Creator and it does not prove superiority over Mohammad sallaAllahu 'alayhi wa sellem. If you read in history even, the impact that Mohammad (sws) had on this earth and people, you will then witness in simplistic terms his greatness of being the last messenger and a blessed man.

If you want to compare the differences on how the story of Jesus (on him peace) was related, you should do just that. Take your Bible, take a translated Quran, (I prefer the Noble Quran because it is more detailed and also ahadith also in footnotes to coincide with the timings or information of the revelation etc.) Sit down and see which one better tells the story of the miraculous conception and beauty of Allah’s message to mankind. 🙂

In Islam/Quran, Jesus is addressed with respect to being Eesa ibna Maryam. Jesus the son of Mary as the MasiH (Messiah). He is also known as Abdulla (servant of Allah) and RasullAllah (messenger of Allah).

Imagine a woman, a Jewis! Being picked and praised by an Arab. This kinda knocks one for a loop eh ?(not to us though 🙂 ) But in fact Allah chose Mary above all women of all nations for this beautiful miracle and message. If you look into the Protestant’s Bible or the Catholic’s 73 books, you will not have a book given the title Maryam. In the Quran, there is. 🙂 If one thinks about it, if the Quran was written by Mohammad (sws), don’t you think he would have included his own family? But not one. (just a thought) 🙂

The word Christ is also not Jesus’ name by the way, it is translated from Messiah (Hebrew). To anoint in Greek means Christos so that is where Jesus Christ (Jesus the anointed) came into play.

Jesus also addresses his very own mother as WOMAN! (to me this is degrading since I am a mother of 7) And also disclaims her by saying, “what have I to do with thee” Don’t ya think Jesus would recognize his own mother? This is disrespectful.

Jesus is spoken of highly in Islam and in the Quran and so is his mother Maryam. (peace be upon them both)

Also, throughout the Bible you have many “sons” of God…and another begotten son if you look hard enough.

so, the differences are there and in retrospect, the Quran tells it in such a beautiful way…more in superior fashion than the Bible. I would choose to give my children the Quranic version over the Bible’s’ any time.

**The Bible does a superb job of praising Mary.
“Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with you.” - Luke 1:28
“Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus.” - Luke 1:42
Elizabeth (Mary’s cousin) calls her “Mother of my Lord” - Luke 1:43
Luke 1:48 prophesies that all generations shall call her (Mary) blessed, as Catholics do in the “Hail Mary” prayer. Everytime a Catholic prays the rosary, he/she is praying for the miraculous conception of Christ Jesus and honouring Mary as the chosen vessel of God. Do Muslims do the same with their prayer beads? No.
The word Christ is also not Jesus’ name by the way, it is translated from Messiah (Hebrew). To anoint in Greek means Christos so that is where Jesus Christ (Jesus the anointed) came into play.
**
Muslims cannot fathom the power of God, which is why they deny Jesus as Christ, the Messiah.
**

Jesus loves His mother. Why didn’t you mention the fact Jesus told John “behold your mother”? Jesus was not just telling John to take care of His mother. He was telling us ALL that MARY IS OUR MOTHER. That’s precisely why Jesus used the word WOMAN. Because she is the WOMAN of all nations, and this WOMAN is to be respected. It is far from being disrespectful. You just don’t understand why He said that.

Does the Qur’an have anything that is close to what the Bible teaches? No.

Your other comments are not worth the respond.

**Hello,
In the Bible, Jesus is praised with esteem respect and the acknowledges Him as the Son of God. The Qur’an rejects Jesus’ divinity and demotes him to the status of a mere prophet.
who acknowledges him? Himself? He denies himself as being good and you take that as worthy of being God incarnate?
as Catholics do in the “Hail Mary” prayer. Everytime a Catholic prays the rosary, he/she is praying for the miraculous conception of Christ Jesus and honouring Mary as the chosen vessel of God. Do Muslims do the same with their prayer beads? No.
I am not talking belief in what you state you say…praising Mary for what bearing a child god? Who created Mary? Why don’t you praise God instead of her?

Muslims actually the prayer beads are considered a bidda (innovation). But those who do use them are doing thikr…praising and remembering their Creator…SubhanAllah, Alhumdulilleh, Allahu Akbar (meaning…Glory to Allah, Thanks to Allah, and God is Greater).
Muslims cannot fathom the power of God, which is why they deny Jesus as Christ, the Messiah.
Who do you think has the power to fathom the power of God? He is above all human scope. Muslims do not deny Jesus, the Messiah. 🙂

Still doesn’t dismiss the fact that he also denied anything to do with her and insulted her by using a harshful term for her and to her!

So, you really think that Jesus told the world that she is your mother? Can you prove that?

You tell me, since many Christians say that Mohammad sallaAllahu 'alayhi wa sellem STOLE FROM THE BIBLE! sheesh well, then don’t answer my questions then if it displeases you so much…let other’s and perhaps they can answer my questions with honesty and humbleness…but perhaps a bit too much to ask

**Hello and good morning,

We don’t judge what our Creator wills into being in Christianity, either. We also believe that God acts with a purpose in accomplishing His will, rather than making arbitrary decisions like the Muslim god does. Christianity, unlike Islam, is a reasonable faith and God accomplishes His works with reason…and therefore, there was a reason Jesus was born of a Virgin.

You must be joking…the “impact” Mohammed had on the earth and its people is one of wars, bloodshed, and terrorism. That’s it.
**“Show me what Muhammad brought that was new and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as the command to spread by the sword the faith he preached.”–Manuel II Paleologus, Byzantine Emperor, 14th century **

**I have. The Bible better tells the story better, and tells it much more beautifully and accurately. 😉 **

That’s nice. In the Bible, Jesus is known as: Eternal Son of God, the Word made flesh, Only Begotten Son, Bread of Life, Lamb of God, Our Redeemer, Our Savior, the Messiah, the Father of the World to come, the Almighty, the Risen One, the Everliving One, Ancient of Days, Desire of the Everlasting Hills, Daystar from on High, Holy One, Friend of Sinners, I AM, High Priest, Express Image of God, King of Glory, Just One, Way, Truth, Life, Resurrection and the Life, Light of the World, Messenger of the Covenant, Prince of Peace, Prince of Life, Teacher from God, True God, Sun of Righteousness, Root and Offspring of David, Glory of Israel, Judge of the Living and Dead…these are just a FEW of the titles given to Jesus in the Bible.

Imagine a woman, a Jewis! Being picked and praised by an Arab. Why would it “knock one for a loop”?? The Blessed Virgin Mother of God has been venerated by all Christians, Arabs included, from the beginning of Christianity. And yes, Almighty God predestined Blessed Mary from eternity to be HIS Mother, to carry HIM in her stainless womb for nine months, to nurse Him from her breast and to carry Him in her tender arms. He filled her with His grace from the moment she was conceived and preserved her from all sin. Only a pure, spotless, immaculate Virgin would be a fitting dwelling place for the Most High God, the Word made flesh…and God loved His Mother so much that He exalted her to the highest place in Heaven under Him, made her more glorious than the angels, took her body and soul into heaven so that she would never decay, and crowned her Queen of the universe. And God loved us so much that while He suffered in the flesh on the cross, He gave her to be our Mother too, the Mother of all Christians, forever…
Now what did the Quran say about Mary, again?
The word Christ is also not Jesus’ name by the way, it is translated from Messiah (Hebrew). To anoint in Greek means Christos so that is where Jesus Christ (Jesus the anointed) came into play.
Duh! We all know this…do you really think we Christians are THAT ignorant about our own religion? Also, do you understand why Jesus is called THE Anointed One (Christ/Messiah)? That’s a rhetorical question, by the way–it’s already quite apparent that you don’t understand!
Jesus also addresses his very own mother as WOMAN! (to me this is degrading since I am a mother of 7) And also disclaims her by saying, “what have I to do with thee” Don’t ya think Jesus would recognize his own mother? This is disrespectful.
WRONG! In the language (Aramaic) and culture Jesus was speaking in, addressing Mary as “Woman” was a title of utmost respect, similar to saying “My Lady” as a title of respect in English. Christ our Lord would NEVER have addressed His Mother with irreverence, since both He and her were without sin. The most correct translation anyway is not “what have I to do with thee” but rather “What is it to me and to thee?”, in other words, “It is not really our responsibility.” This particular passage in Scripture is a beautiful example of Mary’s role as intercessor and highlights her virtues of charity and concern. And if you continue reading it, Jesus granted her request and changed the water into wine…

Jesus is spoken “highly of” by a lot of false religions; Islam is not unique. What do all of these religions have in common? They all preach a DIFFERENT Jesus. Yours is a moot point.

And yes, the Bible does use the term “son(s) of God”…but only Jesus Christ is the Only Begotten Son, Eternally Begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. Christ’s role as Son of God is unique–because when it is used of Him, it really means that HE HIMSELF IS GOD. He is THE WORD that proceeds from the Father from all eternity, the Second Person of the Blessed Trinity. Just as when I have an idea and call it my “brainchild”, I mean that it is MY THOUGHTS, my own EXPRESSION, and is part of ME. This is why the Jews correctly understood that when Jesus called Himself the Son of God, He meant that He IS GOD (John 5:18).

There is no way one could think the Quran tells the story of Christ’s Incarnation and birth better than the Bible…unless of course one is BRAINWASHED by Islam like you are. The Bible is much more accurate, detailed, beautiful, and best of all, inspired by God, and is superior in EVERY WAY. The Quran sounds like incoherent rambling!!!

who acknowledges him? Himself? He denies himself as being good and you take that as worthy of being God incarnate?
**
Wrong. The Qur’an makes these claims and Muslims take the Qur’an as truth. Not entirely truthful when you are forced to take Mohammad’s words over Christ.
**
I am not talking belief in what you state you say…praising Mary for what bearing a child god? Who created Mary? Why don’t you praise God instead of her?
**
We do praise God. When you look at nature, do you praise the trees, plants and butterflies or God for His creation? Similarly, we thank God for creating Mary to be the perfect vessel for His Son’s birth.
**
Muslims actually the prayer beads are considered a bidda (innovation). But those who do use them are doing thikr…praising and remembering their Creator…SubhanAllah, Alhumdulilleh, Allahu Akbar (meaning…Glory to Allah, Thanks to Allah, and God is Greater).
**
I know some Muslims who use the prayer beads to wreak avenge on the Joooos! They have told me whenever we talk about Israel-Palestine issues. I am not making this up.
**
Who do you think has the power to fathom the power of God? He is above all human scope. Muslims do not deny Jesus, the Messiah.
**
**You deny Jesus’ divinity and instead worship a book because Mohammad claimed its writings are of “divine origin”. A book of divine origin does not blaspheme God’s creation or doubt His ability to do anything possible - even if it means He must become God Incarnate.
Still doesn’t dismiss the fact that he also denied anything to do with her and insulted her by using a harshful term for her and to her!
**
No He didn’t. You make such allegations to prove your point when your point has been refuted. If Jesus did insult her, the early Christians would have avoided venerating her. That didn’t happen.
“Thou alone and thy Mother are in all things fair, there is no flaw in thee and no stain in thy Mother.” Ephraem, Nisibene Hymns, 27:8 (A.D. 370).**
So, you really think that Jesus told the world that she is your mother? Can you prove that?
**
The proof is already there in the Bible. You don’t want to acknowledge it because you fear the truth. I cannot help you if you continuously deny whats written in the Bible.
**
You tell me, since many Christians say that Mohammad sallaAllahu 'alayhi wa sellem STOLE FROM THE BIBLE! sheesh well, then don’t answer my questions then if it displeases you so much…let other’s and perhaps they can answer my questions with honesty and humbleness…but perhaps a bit too much to ask
How can you expect anyone to answer your false claims without even having righteous anger, especially when you insult our faith and doubt Jesus’ divinity? Can’t you see that?

Saying you respect Jesus and Mariam is not enough. I too can say i respect Mohammad but i do not think he is a prophet of God and the Qur’an is merely a work of plagiarism.

thank you for your (name removed by moderator)ut now,

Well, afterall, Mary was considered a Jew was she not? So that makes your god a Jew and everyone says that Muslims hate the jews no? (God forbid)…hmmmm so Jesus actually predestined himself to be inside her? But this gets to be so confusing…you say the trinity are three different distinct people/personalities…agh! too confusin…and God is not the author of confusion! God having a mother…that would mean that Mary was before “I AM” and if that be the case, decayin? a mother god… agh…too many questions stem from what you say and claim. Is only logical for one to ask them as well…The Quran says the truth about Maryam. 🙂
Duh! We all know this…do you really think we Christians are THAT ignorant about our own religion? Also, do you understand why Jesus is called THE Anointed One (Christ/Messiah)? That’s a rhetorical question, by the way–it’s already quite apparent that you don’t understand!
Yes, many Christians ARE indeed ignorant of their own religion! I am not illiterate thank you very much. I was raised a Baptist. But to be fair, every question could and can be answered.
WRONG! In the language (Aramaic) and culture Jesus was speaking in, addressing Mary as “Woman” was a title of utmost respect, similar to saying “My Lady” as a title of respect in English. hmmm your proof? Then why is it translated in the Bible as thus??? She was without sin??? But she was born from a mother no??? That means the she was born in sin according to Christian belief. So when and who gave you the right to translate? God? I have read further but this proves nothing about her status as being belittled.
Jesus is spoken “highly of” by a lot of false religions; Islam is not unique. What do all of these religions have in common? They all preach a DIFFERENT Jesus. Yours is a moot point.

My point is not moot. The point is truth must be proven to hold a claim as truth. Not just belief.
ok, “sons” so you call them, then there are still contradictions that stem from these “sons”. examples:
“…Adam, which was the son of God.”(Luke 3:38)
“That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair… And when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them…” (Genesis 6: 2,4)
“…Israel is My son, even My firstborn:” (Exodus 4:22)
“…for I (God) am a Father to Israel, and Ephraim is My firstborn.” (Jeremiah 31:9)
“…the Lord hath said unto me (David): 'Thou art My son: this day have I begotten thee.” (Psalms 2:7) You cannot claim this as being attributed to Jesus because God was speaking directly to David.
“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.” (Romans 18:14)
The Jews had the term “son of god” in the sense of respect…not in the literal sense. Christians took it as the literal sense. Islam takes it as no sense to put forth claim or even have the audacity to put forth a claim even out of respect to attribute to God, sons or daughters.
But no matter how you look at it, in the Bible, if God says something it is true according to Christians right? So, God is what, a liar? God forbid!
hmmm about the tellin of it better, I do not even think that the Bible has a way of saying that Jesus was god…he never claimed to be God…not even good.

AmericanRevert, I’ll reply to your post soon, but first, could you PLEASE stop using all sorts of different colors and sizes of fonts throughout your posts? Your posts are really hard to read and follow, and it is irritating. Could you keep it simple? Please stick with one font (preferably something easily readable, like Arial), a smaller size, and keep it the same color as the rest of us (black)…and, you don’t have to make your entire post BOLD. Just use bold, italics, and underlines when you are trying to emphasize a certain word or sentence.

Thanks! 😉

If you read in history even, the impact that Mohammad (sws) had on this earth and people, you will then witness in simplistic terms his greatness of being the last messenger and a blessed man.**
When I read Islamic history and witness what Muslims are doing today in the name of their faith, I cannot think highly of Mohammad. I only agree that he had great impact on the earth and on his followers in a purely negative way.
**
If you want to compare the differences on how the story of Jesus (on him peace) was related, you should do just that. Take your Bible, take a translated Quran, (I prefer the Noble Quran because it is more detailed and also ahadith also in footnotes to coincide with the timings or information of the revelation etc.) Sit down and see which one better tells the story of the miraculous conception and beauty of Allah’s message to mankind. :)**
I have done that comparative reading innumerable times so far, and the conclusion is always the same: The accounts of Jesus’ miraculous birth in the Islamic scripture are both incomplete and contradictory. The authors of the Koran could not decide how to depict Mary’s story. The ones who devised Surah 19 aimed to rebut the Jewish allegations about Mary’s chastity whereas those who devised Surah 3 (later period) apparently plagiarised from an apocryphal Gospel of Jesus’ infancy (Gospel of James).

I would suggest reading and comparing Surah 3:35-47 with the narratives in the Gospel of James (Protoevangelium) here: newadvent.org/fathers/0847.htm
**
In Islam/Quran, Jesus is addressed with respect to being Eesa ibna Maryam. Jesus the son of Mary as the MasiH (Messiah). He is also known as Abdulla (servant of Allah) and RasullAllah (messenger of Allah).**
Since when has calling a man by his name been a means of respect?
**

You somehow forget that the Koran confirms Israel’s election by God too. More to the point, Islam does not praise Mary because She is Jewish, but because it claims that Mary was the Muslim mother of an Islamic messenger.

Besides, your argument that Islam has a Surah named after Maryam is a weak one due to a few reasons. First, it is impossible to prove that the name of the 19th Surah was directly given by God. Second, the names of the Surah of the Koran were given arbitrarily, which is evident in the fact that some Surahs have double names. Some Surahs are named after animals (16, 27, and 29). One certain Surah of the Koran is dedicated to Abu Leheb, one of Mohammad’s prevalent enemies. 109th Surah of the Koran is named Kaafiroon (unbelievers/infidels). In the light of this analysis, the title of the 19th Surah has no significance with regard to Mary’s place in Islam

**
The word Christ is also not Jesus’ name by the way, it is translated from Messiah (Hebrew). To anoint in Greek means Christos so that is where Jesus Christ (Jesus the anointed) came into play.**
The Koran erroneoulsly applies the name ISSA to Jesus whilst His name is YESUWA in Arabic. The Koran fails to explain what Messiah means or why that title was given to Jesus alone! The following verse taken from the Koran refutes your assertion that Messiah is not Jesus’ name:,

Surah 3:45
(And remember) when the angels said: O Mary! Lo! Allah giveth thee glad tidings of a word from him, whose name is the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, illustrious in the world and the Hereafter, and one of those brought near (unto Allah).

Jesus also addresses his very own mother as WOMAN!** (to me this is degrading since I am a mother of 7) And also disclaims her by saying, “what have I to do with thee” Don’t ya think Jesus would recognize his own mother? This is disrespectful.

Jesus is spoken of highly in Islam and in the Quran and so is his mother Maryam. (peace be upon them both)
Since nowhere in the Koran can we see Jesus address His mother or praise Her, it is impossible to compare a few statements in the New Testament (the cultural and thelogical implications of which are deliberately ignored!) to the few verses of the Koran.

More, the Koran uses the degrading word “prostitute” next to Mary’s exalted name (Surah 19:20). 🤷
**
Also, throughout the Bible you have many “sons” of God…and another begotten son if you look hard enough.**
Yet none of those sons of God claimed to be equal to God! Jesus is the only one to make Himself equal to God by calling God HIS OWN Father, whom He imitates in every act.
**
so, the differences are there and in retrospect, the Quran tells it in such a beautiful way…more in superior fashion than the Bible. I would choose to give my children the Quranic version over the Bible’s’ any time.**
I pity those children. 😃

**Hello and good morning,

In Islam, we do NOT judge what our Creator wants to will into being.**
So He does signs that have no meaning. That’s logical, rational and practical.
I don’t give my children stone (like the Black Rock) when they ask for a loaf. Matthew 7:9. I give them the Bread of Life.

But he did: his uncle Abu Lahab (Sura 111):
The power of Abu Lahab will perish, and he will perish. (1)

His wealth and gains will not exempt him. (2)

He will be plunged in flaming Fire, (3)

And his wife, the wood-carrier, (4)

Will have upon her neck a halter of palm-fibre. (5)

And there is a Sura on his tribe Quraysh (106), and of course one for Muhammad (47).
This is by far my favorite “surah” in the Quran. What beauty and eloquence! Clearly the Quran is superior to the Bible. But I think I prefer the Abdullah Yusuf Ali translation as it sounds more vivid:
*
"Perish the hands
Of the Father of Flame!
Perish he!

"No profit to him
From all his wealth
And all his gains!

"Burnt soon will he be
In a Fire
Of blazing Flame!

"His wife shall carry
The (crackling) wood–
As fuel!

“A twisted rope
Of palm-leaf fibre
Round her (own) neck!”*

Quran never said that Jesus was born without a father. The prophet also never said that. But the way the birth is described in the Quran,it is beautiful. It starts from the birth of Mary, the mother. Bible is no where near to the description of the birth of Jesus as it in the Quran.

Bible does not talk well of Mary. In the bible even Jesus addressed his mother as “O woman” when he was on the cross. Quran has taken notice of that and also at another time too when Mary and her children had gone to meet Jesus and he was preaching to the crowd. People told him that his mother and brothers had come to see him.he said, “Who is my mother and who is my brother.?” These are my mother and tehse aremy brothers." That was also not a good way of speaking about his own mother.

Apart from that there is no other word about Mary. So there is nothing good. Beside that paul played havoc with Mary. He did never mention her as if she was any important person.

But Quran has washed off all blame on Jesus and Jesus says “God has ordered me to be always very kind to my mother.” See 19:32)

Why was that necessary. It was because bible did not do justice to Jesus about his own mother. And Even now the christians say that Quran has copied things from the bible.

The bible depicts Jesus as the son of Joseph the carpenter because of the geneology in Mathew and luke. What use it that geneology if it is not true. And at the same time, the church is beating the drum that Jesus had no father. That he was the son of God. They do not tell whether he was the real material son or spiritual son. In the end, they propose him as if he was his own father and even the creator of his mother too. God Forbids such things.**

Planten has some nerve, trying to tell God what HE can and can’t do!

Planten has some nerve, trying to tell God what HE can and can’t do!
I do not make God do anything as I like. The christians have a belief that God can do anything, absolutely anything. That is to show the maximum power of God. But too much power can be wrong too. And I would definitely need a proof of that belief “God can do everything” in those exact words from the bible NT please.

Then I will present the correct version of this subject as it is taught in Islam. Thanks.
