First of all, all those christian who says islam is bad religion, you are wrong. Islam(surrender your will to god) ,is a religion of peace. The flaw in islam is they don’t believe jesus is son of god .They believe in quran ,even i do, but it wasn’t written by prophet himself like john,isiah, moses ,prophet mohammed’s disciples wrote it when he preached . But dont’ neglect the fact that the disciples can add anything to the verses according to their human wisdom. If prophet mohammed said’’ Jesus is son of god’’ ,they could have thought’‘how can god marry?’’ ‘’ God will never have sex’’ But the truth is Jesus was first born son to god through the grace of holy spirit ,and not a women.John 1:1-3 ,John 3:6 ‘‘a person is physically born from his parents but in spirit he comes from spirit(holy spirit) ,Jesus existed even before the world was made(before women) ,he was born to God through the holy spirit,All the other things in this world is created.’‘everything was created for him,through him and everything will go back to him’’ .And now to christians, Quran was revealed to prophet mohammed because people weren’t listening to heavenly wisdom of jesus .Quran speaks about many human wisdom even before scientists discovered them ,Dr.zakir nayak explained it beautifully , who knows a machine better than it’s creator? the creator himself ,Scientists or atheist tells us about how everything came from big bang but it’s written in 2 esdras 40 ‘’ he commanded a light to shine out of the room where it was stored’’ , Quran surah 21 :60, Scientist proved us how moon reflects the sunlight but it was already revealed to humans in surah 26:21 , surah 79:30 tells us about spherical shape of earth, surah 21:33 tells us how sun revolves in it’s own axis, Surah 39:21, 30:24,15:22,23:18 24:43,30:48, 7:17 ,they all speaks of water cycle even before scientist discoverd them, many verses in quran and bible tells us about ‘‘science’’ even before they discovered it ,how come quran and bible knew about things which people discovered ages after it were written? the only answer is the creator himself revealed it to prophets.But as prophet isiah prophecised of ''they have closed there ears, they take lie as their refuge ‘’ ,Romans 1:25 ‘‘they have exchanged god’s truth with a lie and brought judgement upon themselves’’ , Quran speaks of how unbelievers will dispute with signs of allah.Evoultion indeed is real but i was created,2 peter 2 :8 for god 1000 days are 1 day and 1 day are 1000 years for him even trillion years are 1 sec. I really don’t think you want to play the pull quotes of a book and show that religion to be evil because then the person without a book wins. Atheists have no book, we win. . Islam is just another religion with people who abuse it to have others do evil just like cults that use Christianity in the same way.

I checked a few of the verses you listed, and, I have to say, you are doing an awful lot of eisegesis (in other words, reading things into it that aren’t there.) They don’t say anything like what you propose they do. How you can interpret “He spread out the Earth” to be saying that the Earth is spherical is beyond me. Likewise, the verse you cited as stating that the sun rotates on an axis actually says all the heavenly bodies (sun, moon, stars, etc.) are in orbit; a pretty common sensical observation. Anyone who looks up at the sky can see that all the heavenly bodies appear to spinning around the Earth.

May I know your purpose for posting all this. I have read the English translation of the Quran. Bits of it sound familiar as you will find those bits in the Bible. The Quran and Islam came after Christianity and the Bible.You can have respect for other religions and their followers but you cannot be a part Christian, part Muslim if you are a follower of Christ. A follower of Christ as the Son of God made man, is a Christian.

Your words (I have bolded and others) are just not true. BTW Muslims believe that the Quran was dictated by God to Mohammed in Arabic. That is why Muslims dislike non Muslims touching or owning an Arabic Quran.

If you are searching for the truth, here it is: Islam is a false religion and it is violent.

Jesus was well aware of false prophets so he knew there would be false religions. Islam is one, like it or not.

There is truth and then there is untruth, lies, or falsehood. Chose what you will. There can only be one Truth. If you are searching for THE TRUTH, you must be able to discern what is false otherwise you’ll never find what it is you are looking for.

Mohmmed was a nomad and lived 600 years after Christ. He would have heard the stories of the Bible, Jesus, and of Mary. His wife’s uncle supposedly was a bishop and a follower of the Ibonian heresy. This uncle had a great influence on him.

You state you are a Catholic. You need to find your way back to the Church. You appear to be too dazzled with this. Receiving the Eucharist will help you much more than reading the quran. Do it quickly.

as for stuff you wrote here-you have clearly been drinking too much Islamic propaganda Kool-Aid and not reading enough Bible. Just to mention one of your “reasons”-the reason why Prophet Mohammed would have known about Virgin Mary, Jesus, Apostles, etc is because Quran and Islam didn’t exist until 700 years after Christ. If you read both Quran and Bible it looks like Mohammed took a lot of things from the Bible and twisted it around to suit him and his ideas

Interesting. You seem to be arguing from a position in which Islam must be one of the following:

1. A religion no more or less positive than all the other religions (assumed to be made-up if one is an atheist)
2. Islam is a sinister force for evil in the world.
3. Islam is the true revelation from God.

You seem to look at the three and conclude that #1 is the most reasonable. But have you considered a fourth option?

1. Islam is an attempt at creating a spin-off religion from christianity. It has attempted to incorporate many positive principles of christianity, but introduced some significant changes that inherently lead to irrevocable social conflict and even violence in some circumstances.

I suppose one could also argue that
5. Islam is a still imperfect religious system, but an actual improvement on christian doctrine and worldview. (I have a hard time seeing how one could defend position #5, but somebody could theoretically argue it.)

It’s important to recognize that evaluating the merits of a religion’s teachings is NOT necessarily an evaluation of the moral character of the PEOPLE who subsribe to it. There are utter scoundrels who are baptized catholics. But they are that way in defiance of the principles of catholicism. There might theoretically be an Islamic society in which minority religions are allowed to practice their faith freely. But if so, that society would NOT be in compliance with the teachings of the Koran. Nevertheless, there are likely hundreds of millions of honorable and decent muslims in the world who would NOT engage in overt oppression of non-muslims in their midst. Principles matter, even if they aren’t completely honored by people who claim to adhere to them.

That is true. But is it not also true that a person can lie about whether or not they have received God’s truth? I mean no direct offense to Mormons but I do not believe Joseph Smith brought truth. I think he was at best mistaken and at worst a liar, and if my beliefs about such matter are correct then what is in his book is at best mistaken and at worst a lie. But that does not make God a liar. It simply means a human on Earth who (may or may not have) thought he had God’s word was wrong.

3. Islam is the true revelation from God.

You seem to look at the three and conclude that #1 is the most reasonable. But have you considered a fourth option?

1. Islam is an attempt at creating a spin-off religion from christianity. It has attempted to incorporate many positive principles of christianity, but introduced some significant changes that inherently lead to irrevocable social conflict and even violence in some circumstances.

I suppose one could also argue that
5. Islam is a still imperfect religious system, but an actual improvement on christian doctrine and worldview. (I have a hard time seeing how one could defend position #5, but somebody could theoretically argue it.)

It’s important to recognize that evaluating the merits of a religion’s teachings is NOT necessarily an evaluation of the moral character of the PEOPLE who subsribe to it. There are utter scoundrels who are baptized catholics. But they are that way in defiance of the principles of catholicism. There might theoretically be an Islamic society in which minority religions are allowed to practice their faith freely. But if so, that society would NOT be in compliance with the teachings of the Koran. Principles matter, even if they aren’t completely honored by people who claim to adhere to them.
