Nowhere

in the Bible does Jesus (pbuh) unequivocally says that he is God and then proceeds to command his followers to worship him. there is a huge difference between NOWHERE, and the fact that there is PLENTY, but you reply CORRUPT.

You either stick to nowhere, or to corrupt. You cannot say NOWHERE, and when we point it out, you reply : CORRUPT because it shows there IS.

make up your mind.
On the other hand, the Bible does indeed record that he unequivocally says the following:

Dear all, before one even accepts the opinion of another, one must first be sure of the sanity of the person.
Can any sane person here give an explanation as to which laws of Physics have enabled the domes of this mosque in Indonesia to have survived the battering of tsunami waves measuring 90-feet tall when they hit the beach near where the mosque is located?

(Please Note: This uploaded content is no longer available.)
Bear in mind that the domes of mosques are hollow structures which are usually made of light building material and the height of the monster waves can be seen by the discolouring of the leaves and branches on the trees near the mosque.

The Message to all sane people is loud and clear i.e. on the Last Day when the world comes to an end, the only thing that will survive will be the gateway to Paradise… and that is Islam.

Woe betides the creations who willingly CHOOSE to ignore their Creator’s warning.

the same law of physics that enabled houses and hotels to have survived unless hotels and houses are sacred places

and

the same Law that enabled some “sacred” structures to survive yet killed the believers that used to visit them

the same law of physics that enabled houses and hotels to have survived unless hotels and houses are sacred places
I meant the domes specifically.

Like I pointed out, the domes of mosques are hollow structures and are usually made of light building materials.

Can the laws of Physics explain how the domes of this mosque managed to survive after being battered by tsunami waves which were higher than them?

Dear Hamba2han,

My brother was in Banda Aceh during the tsunami. The 90-feet wave was in the beach, not in the hinterland. The one that arrived in my brother’s dwelling place, was merely 4 feet. But, it carried a lot of debris in quite significant speed. That debris carried by the wave, was destructive as it killed people, brought damages to properties, but never been able to reach the top of the building. Perhaps, you could show the mosque in question from the air. The mountain background reminded me the hilly place or high terrain, rather than near the beach.

  1. why would we see a revert of a prophet such as Mohammed, supossedly sent by God, expanding and spreading Islam at the point of a sword?
This is a good question and I appreciate your candor my friend. To answer. Islam means peace. The Quran states “Let there be no compulsion in religion.”

Can you answer why he killed so many Jews? And take plunder from them and sold their wives as slaves. Can’t you see he’s a false prohpet
  1. If Mohhamed spread Islam by the sword, should we follow his example?
Islam was not spread by the sword as I pointed out in question 2.

Again he killed many Jews. And his Kalifs killed so manypeople who rejected Islam

3.Did Mohammed perform any miracles as proof of his being a prophet of God? If so, please elaborate? If not, please elaborate?

The answer is yes! Muhammad performed too many miracles in his time witnessed by thousands of people then. There are books on this topic in Arabic, Urdu, Persian, etc…, not many were translated to English yet. Most Miracles of the Prophets were for their time, hard to prove today that they have really happened. Muhammad’s Greatest living miracle till today is the Qura’n! It is 100% unchanged since it was revealed from Allah (God) to Prophet Muhammad. The Qura’n has many scientific miracles, it is difficult to list here. If you’re interested to know some of them, please send me a question to the same address you sent this one.

Yes:rolleyes: .and including the fact that the world is spread out(like a carpet) and that the sun rises from a muddy spring. Oh yeah…and did I tell you that sprem comes from you backbone and ribs:rolleyes: …what a miracle
  1. Do members of the Islamic faith have the gifts of healing etc. etc.?
We Muslims believe if any healing happens it is by the will of Allah only.

Typical Muslim excuse…then why do healings that Catholics do still work?..Muhamad never heal anyone or perform any miracles…that’s why he comes out with the revelation that only ‘allah’ and perform miracles
  1. If Islam supposedly views Christainity and the Bible as some sort of forgery or manipulation of the truth, why are so many people healed in the name of Jesus Christ as opposed to in the name of Allah or God?
The issue of miracles is highly common in what anthropologists and sociologists call Popular Religion. It exists among all religions, including Islam, Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism, Hinduism, Native Americans and African religions, etc. As you know, there are people who donÕt even believe in God or are pagans who walk on fire without being burned, or walk on water without drowning, or insert needles in their body without bleeding. This is still not a reason to confirm the validity of their belief system…

Simple…Islam is Satans religion…so it’s false

No disrespect intended, but I would rather not serve a religion that says “the building stands but the people died, it is a miracle.” Buildings can be replaced, people cannot.

I believe the point that he is making, is that the wave destroyed all the vegetation in many parts but left most buildings intact. I think you may have misspoken when you said 90 foot wave in this aprticular area. If you’ll notice, ther seems to be no other building foundations in the area, possibly indicating that the tsunami was powerful enough to rip up vegetation but not powerful enough to destroy large structures like the mosque.

The mosque in question is the Lampuuk Mosque and the following is an illustration of the wave height as measured by an International Tsunami Survey Team (ITST) studying the effects of the December 26 tsunami on Indonesia’s island of Sumatra.

And the following photo of bent steel-reinforced support is a vivid reminder of the enormous destructive power of the tsunami.

Dear hamba2han,

I myself, has never been in Aceh before. Visually, your second picture is better in showing your point. However, is it not the same picture that was argued my AgnosTheist in thread called “Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) in other scriptures” post #85?. Again, you may p(name removed by moderator)oint that the dome of the mosque was intact, despite you claimed that it was made of light material. In Aceh, great mosques do not have light material for the dome. Even the old grand mosque in Banda Aceh, built in the 18th century do not use light material for the dome. For big mosques, they made the dome out of concrete. In Serang, west Java, a muslim billionaire made a mosque, with a concrete domes covered with gold leafs. The damaged building in the bottom picture, was definitely do not come from the surrounding mosque you pictured. It must be from somewhere else.

Anyway Hamba2han, disaster is disaster. We should not ever use it as a “propaganda” for promoting a self claim “miracle”. People may have another thinking. For example, how about the muslims living aroung a survived mosque? Why Allah only help the building, and not the people? To show a miracle, Allah should have stopped the tsunami right at the beach, and make the water disappear. Surely Allah could do it, and I believe it. Allah has made 2 walls of water when Moses brought his people crossing the red sea.

Basically hamba2han, we, human being, cannot ever dictate God on how God should perform a miracle. So, why don’t we stop using any disaster as a “promotional” item. It is painful to remember that friends lost their life together with fellow muslims there in Aceh. Allahuakbar or “Allah is Great” as you always claim. I agree and I concur with that. Let us see the disaster as a “warning” that we, human being, was made of unworthy clay, and will come back to be clay. It is the Love of God only, that make us valuable.

I have several questions and points that perhaps someone on here might help clarify.
  1. If God furthered our understanding of forgiveness and righteousness from and “eye to an eye” to “love one another as I have loved you” and “he who lives by the sword dies by the sword” with Christ as the supreme example in the New Testament, why would we see a revert of a prophet such as Mohammed, supossedly sent by God, expanding and spreading Islam at the point of a sword?
The prophet Muhammad (s) did not spread and expand Islam at the point of a sword, this was done much later after the death of the messenger (s) by the khalif Omar who turned Islam into an imperial power. Muhammad (s) spread Islam through mercy, compassion and forgiveness.
  1. If Mohhamed spread Islam by the sword, should we follow his example?
If he did, then it would undermine the entire concept of free. There is no merit or virtue in belief without free will. Also, it would contradict the very text of the Quran that says “no compulsion in religion”
  1. In Christianity we often see miracles such as those in the OT and the Gospels but we continue to see miracles everyday o fpeople cured of ailments and diseases in the name of Christ. (pretty impressive when you see someone born with one leg shorter than the other grow 6 inches in half an hour:) ) These miracles where proof that indeed Christ was the Son of God and that people may believe. Did Mohammed perform any miracles as proof of his being a prophet of God? If so, please elaborate? If not, please elaborate?
Here is an example of a miracle where a blind man was healed through the messenger muhammad (s)
Uthman ibn Hunayf relates:
A blind man came to God’s Messenger and requested him to pray to God to recover his eyes. The Messenger said: “If you desire, I’ll not pray-being blind may be better for your afterlife-or I’ll pray.” The man chose to be relieved of blindness and the Messenger told him: “Go and do an ablution. Then pray two rak‘as and say: ‘O God! Surely my appeal is to You and I turn toward You through the Prophet Muhammad, the Prophet of mercy: O Muhammad, surely I turn toward God through you, that He uncover my sight. O God, make him my intercessor.’” The man did what the Messenger told him and his sight was restored.

4. Do members of the Islamic faith have the gifts of healing etc. etc.?
Yes, In a similar fashion as the blind man, people today continue to be healed miraculously through the messenger and his holy family (as). For example, the prophet said about his grandson al-hussain (as) the following:

God has specified my son Hussain with three: divine leadership from his progeny, healing in his earth, fulfillment of prayers under his dome

there are examples like the one below every single year.

I don’t know which miracles you are referring to but I’ve seen a documentary about benny hinn sometime last year exposing him as a fraud who pretends to heal while collecting money from nieve christians to support his lavish lifestyle. It was heart breaking to see some of the sick who went through a great deal to attend his mass only to be turned away at the door, one of them was a paralyzed boy in a wheelchair.

Benny Hinn is a well known con-man and scam artist. The first group to prove it was a group of his fellow protestant ministers. Technically, he may not be breaking any laws in America. Call it a flaw in our secular governement. It is tragic to me as well. So many people want to beleive. There are other cons in healing. There are also a lot of documented miracles. Far too many for me to list. I can point you to some websites of documented Christian healings. Can anyone do the same for Islam? I want to see where people were saved, not buildings. Buildings can be replaced, people cannot.

Hi

I think even Lazarus was not raised from the Dead, but from the near-dead by prayers of Jesus and his medicine. There were no physicians there to determine if he was clinically dead, in all probabiltiy he was cured from near -dead.

Thanks

Lazarus was in the tomb for several days to the extent that his tomb had the stench of death.

It is clear by the biblical account that he was verified as a dead.

Hi Ralphinal, yes we have documented Muslim healing as well.

This one is most recent happened this year. Where a young Sunni boy was pronounced clinical dead miraculously recovers.

Unfortunately its in arabic, let me know if you want a translation, I won’t mind.

These are not out of the ordinary, every year hundreds of thousands of people make the pilgrimage to the shrines of the prophet’s family to seek their intercession and help.

The Christian healing could also be explained by intersession. Whereby some people who are perfect individuals in every way have attained a special favour from God that allows all their requests to be granted. We believe that all prophets including Jesus were perfect beings and all of them can intercede on our behalf. Keep in mind that this is a controversial topic even within the majority sunni muslim community so expect to get a lot of conflicting views.

Also, we believe that Jesus (as) performed all sorts of miracles, raising the dead, healing the leper ect…
this does not prove he is god because it was all done through God’s permission

This is not right. Islam was spread by the sword, beginning with Mohammad himself. People were killed by the sword. Violence was used to achieve what victory was there for him. The triumphant return to Mecca was a result of victorious skirmishes. The truth is, despite how much you try to paint a peaceful picture of Mohammad, that the swords were used.

This is in contrast to Jesus. Despite the renegade intention of some of his followers, force was never in use. Jesus, who could calm the storm and the raise the dead, did not use force to save himself from his tormentors, for they knowth not what they were doing. Like the prophecies of the ancient prophets, he was led to his own slaughter like a meek sheep.

Most Muslim apologists, when trying to convince us that Mohammad was peaceful, do not tell us of the dark side of him. Like when he allowed a person to be killed for writing an insulting poem about him. The so-called good deeds of Mohammad seem to be motivated by the desire to gain political mileage and to consolidate his power base. There is nothing peaceful about Mohammad.

The earlier Caliphs are supposed to be the rulers of the golden age of Islam. If you don’t agree with them, then none of the so-called Islamic goevernment had been successful on earth. This brings us to the fact that Islam may be a failed religion after all.

Good and peaceful Muslims are hard pressed to project that Mohammad and Islam are peaceful. The fact that it is difficult for you to do so is simply because you do not have a peaceful religion and a genuine prophet in the first place. You do not have genuine materials to begin with. Your Islam is a very poor imitation of what Jesus brings to people of the earth.

God bless.

Reuben, the conquest of Mekka was a peaceful one where not a single person was killed, even the lady Hind who has killed his uncle Hamza and ate his liver was granted immunity by Muhammad. His most fiercest enemies namely abu sufyan and family were also granted immunity by him when the messenger took back Makka. And for your information the conquest of Makkah was a result of Makkans who broke the peace treaty they signed by killing innocent Muslims. If you believe Muhammad (s) spread islam by the sword you are entitled to that belief but please post some specific references to back it up.

God bless.
