…Jesus Himself said …It is finished…
there is a controversy about which line was his last word .

If Jesus (p) indeed meant his mission was fulfilled , then why he predicted about another comforter ?

He didn’t. In fact, He warned of such people as mohammed. But, if you can’t get your head out of the koran and discuss the Bible by reading the Bible, then you are being dishonest in your discussions.

You have been refusing to prove that the Bible was corrupted, and then you use the koran that has corrupted Bible stories in it.

We know the Muslims cant be right because Jesus himself others will come along and be false prophets, including this passage alone proving what muhammad saw in the cave was no angel.

2 Cor 11
12 I will go on acting as I do at present, to cut the ground from under the feet of those who are looking for a chance to be proved my equals in grounds for boasting.
13 These people are counterfeit apostles, dishonest workers disguising themselves as apostles of Christ.
14 There is nothing astonishing in this; even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.

Also, these are warnings about false prophets and when you read them, muhammad has all the signs fitting a false prophet.

Mat 7
15 'Beware of false prophets who come to you disguised as sheep but underneath are ravenous wolves.
16 You will be able to tell them by their fruits. Can people pick grapes from thorns, or figs from thistles?
17 In the same way, a sound tree produces good fruit but a rotten tree bad fruit.
18 A sound tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor a rotten tree bear good fruit.
19 Any tree that does not produce good fruit is cut down and thrown on the fire.
20 I repeat, you will be able to tell them by their fruits.

Mat 24
4 And Jesus answered them, 'Take care that no one deceives you,
5 because many will come using my name and saying, “I am the Christ,” and they will deceive many.
11 Many false prophets will arise; they will deceive many,
12 and with the increase of lawlessness, love in most people will grow cold;
13 but anyone who stands firm to the end will be saved.

2 Peter
1 As there were false prophets in the past history of our people, so you too will have your false teachers, who will insinuate their own disruptive views and, by disowning the Lord who bought them freedom, will bring upon themselves speedy destruction.
2 Many will copy their debauched behaviour, and the Way of Truth will be brought into disrepute on their account.
3 In their greed they will try to make a profit out of you with untrue tales. But the judgement made upon them long ago is not idle, and the destruction awaiting them is for ever on the watch.

1 John 4
1 My dear friends, not every spirit is to be trusted, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets are at large in the world.
2 This is the proof of the spirit of God: any spirit which acknowledges Jesus Christ, come in human nature, is from God,
3 and no spirit which fails to acknowledge Jesus is from God; it is the spirit of Antichrist, whose coming you have heard of; he is already at large in the world.

I highlighted here because what does the so called ‘angel’ do that muhammad saw, denied Jesus and his divinity.

Also, you might want to read this from a hadith, the ‘angel’ that muhammad saw almost killed him, read for yourself. Would an angel of God almost kill a prophet? No.
This angel is ‘apparently’ the same one that came to Mary, the gentle loving Angel Gabriel who would never hurt one of Gods creation, is meant to be the bully and mean ‘angel’ that goes to muhammad.
This is also classified as an authentic hadith, so muslims cant really deny this.

Translated sahih bukhari book 1 num 3
the Prophet added, "The angel caught me (forcefully) and pressed me so hard that I could not bear it any more. He then released me and again asked me to read and I replied, ‘I do not know how to read.’ Thereupon he caught me again and pressed me a second time till I could not bear it any more. He then released me and again asked me to read but again I replied, ‘I do not know how to read (or what shall I read)?’ Thereupon he caught me for the third time and pressed me, and then released me and said, 'Read in the name of your Lord, who has created (all that exists) has created man from a clot.

Does this sound like the actions of an Angel from God, ill leave this for you to make your own decision.

This is what God wanted:

[Hosea 6:6] FOR I DESIRED MERCY, AND NOT SACRIFICE; AND THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOD MORE THAN BURNT OFFERINGS.

And if God isn’t calling for burnt offerings of animals and is indeed calling for mercy - then the muslims are on the wrong path due to them thinking that God wants them to kill, or subjugate His people.

This comforter you speak of, is actually the Holy Spirit.
This never ending quest from muslim to distort our scripture is astounding to say the least!
DiL, Holy spirit was not the comforter. Jesus himself was the comforter.i.e. The first comforter. He promised his friends another comforter like himself. Holy spirit is with every prophet of God. Not only with Jesus.

I do not withdraw this assertion. You have not even read about the other problems that I have mentioned so you think it is all lumped in with the epilepsy.

You write the sentence, “Mohammad was psychotic because he had epilepsy”, not me. I wrote that plus other things. The epilepsy is a cause for concern in the way he felt after his fits. Since you are behaving as the muslims do and not reading ANYTHING - I will post the article about the epilepsy.

Next time read it for yourself!
Amazing, simply amazing. You seriously think faithfreedom.org is the benchmark for epilepsy research and you let them feed you with rubbish? You are literally saying its their words against mine and you do not feel the need to apologize but say i behave ‘as the Muslims’?

I didn’t want to say this before, but i’ll say this now; The reason people don’t take you seriously is because you quote from hate sites. Another reason why people don’t take you seriously is your lack of knowledge in Islam and its practitioners. A good apologist not only knows the subject but also learns it through real-world experience and dialogue, and you lack neither, based on the vitriol you post in the forums. You’re no different than Jack Chick or James White.

Forget about Muhammad for a moment. Does the devil must introduce itself as the devil when they come to a human?? What kind of logic is that. The Devil will surely appear as though it is the angel of God to fool human. How can you distinguish what come from God and what come from evil, is the fruit of the message. Not the apparition itself. The Devil has the power of deceiving.
Exactly. The Devil’s power of decieving is aggravated by his ability to transform himself into whom he wants to be.

I am astonished to learn that Islam does not believe the Devil is a fallen angel. When Islam believes that angels cannot lie, it look like this came from the Devil’s mouth himself, because it set a stage for a big con job he would be doing on Mohammad. You see, as an angel according to Islamic belief, he could do no wrong.

Oh OH! I got a suggestion - READ WHATEVER ARTICLES YOU WANT about it. I gave you more than just faithfreedom - it was just that Mr. Silas put it all together in an article and then in a book. I am very sorry you have an affliction and think I am picking on you - I AM NOT! In fact, you can not read my posts - I DON’T GIVE A WHIP EITHER WAY.

The hate sites you mention are not hate sites. Mr. Spencer, Silas, Shoebat, Brigette Gabriel are not haters. the last 4 I mention were either muslims that left islam, or one who was a victim of islamic hatred in her own country - Lebanon. I have quoted from the UK news, islam, historyofjihad, islamonline, and chose not to go to sites that the muslims use for their da’wa.

I have quite a bit of knowledge of islam and that is the problem with the muslims - they know that and hope that people like you will bash me because you are doing their job for them.

Their history is abominable and it still continues. Slavery is still being practiced and so is such things as kidnappings, rape of non-muslims, forced conversions, beheadings of even school children, aiming their bombs at such things as school children’s buildings, transportation, hotels, bars/places to eat, etc. And they say they don’t aim for civilians - yeah, and I got an orange bridge to sell you that everyone calls ‘Golden’.

Personally, I can’t believe you read those articles I gave to you and still are so hateful and vitriolic. If you did read it you would see the references to Silas’ research. So be it. If someone else can reach you and I cannot - so be it.

everyone who has epilepsy. I have epilepsy and i know others with epilepsy.
Wait a minute, brother. Do you really have epilepsy? How bad is it? I do pray for you, and hope you will always be in a perfect condition.

Finished for the job of the Word of God, who replaced the first human who fell into the lie of the devil, and be the example of the human intended by God as created at the first time. Jesus replaced Adam as the complete opposite. Adam fell into the lie of the devil and obeyed it, but Jesus perfectly obeyed God to the outmost.

Jesus’ work is continued by the God the Holy Spirit till the end of time. The other comforter Jesus predicted is the Holy Spirit. In total, there is an unbroken continuous work of God from the first moment of creation until the end of time. By God the Father, God’s Word and the Spirit of God.

DiL, Holy spirit was not the comforter. Jesus himself was the comforter.i.e. The first comforter. He promised his friends another comforter like himself. Holy spirit is with every prophet of God. Not only with Jesus.
The Holy Spirit is with every prophet of God. But, those Prophets allowed the Holy Spirit to GUIDE them, so much that whatever such prophet was doing, it was the work of the Holy Spirit. A Prophet cannot claim to have the Holy Spirit but do whatever he wants according to his own will.

My prayer for you too, brother. Life must be difficult for you, but I am sure that God is with you.

And you should listen to yourselves, or reread your own posts. You throw around a lot of accusations and bashings and still think you are above it all.

I am sorry that you cannot read - because that is all I am presenting - articles that you are not able to read, or look at the references to them.

I am sorry for you as well if you have such a thing as Cathopologist has, but just because you lump all the things together like he does not not make either of you correct. I hope that both of you have your problem under control with modern medicines and do not feel any problems with it.

Go for it, if it makes you happy. You are jumping on an opportunity to be hateful and vitriolic (again) just because you cannot read. so be it. You have done nothing but bash me at every opportunity instead of discussing the subjects brought up - unlike Cathopologist. And I still stand by what I have presented whether you two have read them or not, or agree with them. I have a right to my opinion, and just because you two disagree - you think that bashing me is the way to argue the point. It only makes me more sure that I am correct since I have run across many like you and know that name calling is easy for you when you are disturbed by the message.

You don’t even know my background, you are just jumping on a chance to do some more bashing.

I think it is enough for us to “bash” each other. That is derailing the thread. Shall we continue discussing the topic, my dear brothers??

yes, I am ready. Go for it. I will just ignore Jhareck, but not Cathapologist because he had more decent posts even though he disagreed with me on the last topic I brought up. that is fine to disagree, but the name calling that is uncalled for.

By the way, I still don’t think mohammed saw anything - I do still think he had a lot of problems. But, for now I will leave it at that. I do think though that a lot of scripture backs up that Satan is involved and that can be best described in this radio talk with Walid Shoebat. NO, he is not a radical, or anything like that. He is an ex-muslim who used to be a radical PLO terrorist and goes into some of the brainwashing he got as a child in the Middle East - and even in a Christian school for some of the stuff he got.

Walid Shoebat..

Select the program that says, Talking It Over, PART 1
December 13, 2008.

I found his references to the Bible very interesting too. He was schooled in the koran and later learned the Bible and that is why he left islam.

I don’t really care whether Mohammad saw the Devil or not. If it says he saw an angel, then by the attributes and the effects of such encounter, it could not have been angel. So, if it says he saw angel Gabriel then the likelihood was that the so-called angel was the Devil himself, masquerading as angel Gabriel.

Again, whether it was the angel or nobody or just the hallucination of his epileptic mind, the revelations given to Mohammad must be judged by its fruits. And the fruits were not encouraging. His message contradicts earlier scriptures, which he claimed to confirm.

Any knowledge that denies the death and the resurrection of Jesus can only comes from Satan because of the huge interest that Satan has in denying it. Jesus death and resurrection bring salvation to mankind, which obviously Satan wants to compromise.

Beside that the Quran brings about numerous contradictions against the Bible. These contradictions were major as it redefines sins. In other words, what the Bible teaches as sins, the Quran denies. Only Satan denies sins. Sins are not from God and the one who says sins are not sins therefore cannot be God. Thus, the so-called angel Gabriel of the Quran could not be from God and therefore could not be the real angel Gabriel.

I do believe this passage applies to what you are saying, Matthew 7:

15 Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves. 16 By their fruits ye shall know them. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? 17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but the corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. 20 Therefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

**That is very bad idea unless you could feel that it was the devil who was tempting and walking about in the form of Jesus. With you everything is possible **.

And the angel mentioned who visited Joseph the carpentar must have been the devil to according to you. Everythign is possible with you
