Many complains about crusades, but this was the way the Chirstians reacted to the Islam expansionism ( that had spread from east to west, from north to south ) all Europe was in danger, no country was at safe

Genocides perpetrated by muslims expansionism :
  1. INDIA
Beginning in AD 712 the Muslim armies invaded India. They smashed and demolished temples, plundered palaces, slaughtered millions of Indian men and enslaved the women and children. The ancient cities of Baranasai Mathura, Uggain, Maheshwar, Jwalamukhi and Dwarka were sacked, the populations massacred, and not one temple left standing.

The Buddhists were also targeted for destruction. In AD 1193 Muhammad Khilji burned to the ground their famous library and the Buddhist stronghold of Bihar.

In the conquest of Egypt AD 640 and 641, the towns of Behnesa, Fayum, Nikiu and Aboit were all put to the sword. In North Africa, when Tripoli was captured in AD 643, all the Jews and Christians were forced to hand their women and children over as slaves. Neither was Spain under the Muslim Moors the jewel of Islamic tolerance that it is often purported to be. In AD 920 all the inhabitants of Muez were put to the sword. Cordova, Zarajoza and Merida were burned to the ground, with all adult males executed and all women and children enslaved. In AD 1066 all the Jews of Grenada were slaughtered. In AD 1126, all the Christians of Grenada were deported to Morocco.

In AD 1009, Kalif Hakem of Egypt ordered the destruction of the Holy Sepulchre and all Christian places of worship in Jerusalem. Christians were persecuted cruelly and pilgrims were attacked.

Modern Christians are ignorant of the bloody past of Islam. The reason is that for four centuries Islam has been docile and unable to threaten other societies, unlike their behavior of their first thousand years.

Could we discuss the western christian expansionism with the bullet (bandook) during the last 250 years. That covered a very wide area of the world. That is all politics and I am not interested in politics. Islam is not primarily a political religion, unless some one asked for it.

**Not true. Islam never threatened any one. It was always a message of peace. The prophet even wrote letters of friendship and invitation to Islam to the kings of his time.

Some kings send good gifts and friendly messages. Some kings (Iran) tore the letter of the prophet to pieces and even killed the emissary. From the prophet, it was a news and message of peace, that is peaceful co-existence.

It was the Roman king kaisar’s forces who assembled on the borders of Arabia to attack Madinah (The muslim capital). It was (Khusrao) the king of Iran who ordered the arrest of the prophet. What right did they have to do that?? Please read the history properly.

Very early Muslims were too weak to atatck any one and it would have been a foolish act. But the neighboring kingdoms felt that they could easily crush the new born state of the muslims in Arabia. That was their fault, their mistake. The Muslims had to fight for their survival.

But once when the war starts then it has its tentacles and it spreads. Then you cannot blame the Muslims for it. Initally, Islam was purely spiritual. But when pulled into politics, it had to do something to survive. So the Muslims may have attacked the enemies in many countries. It is non of our business to malign the Muslims now after 1400 years.**

Hi

Islam does not support conversion by support. Islam spread to many regions in the world without wars e.g., Indonesia, China, Central Asian countries. Many a times the invaders who invaded the Muslim territories and were vitorious like Timur when they learnt the truthfulness of Islam got converted to Islam.

That might be the history of Muslims, not history of Islam. Muhammad did not convert anybody by sword nor it is commanded in Quran to convert anybody by sword. Islam is a peaceful religion.

**That was a false alarm, verse 8:39. Please see below:

[8:37] That Allah may separate the bad from the good, and put the bad, one upon another, and heap them up altogether, and then cast them into Hell. These indeed are the losers.

[8:38] Say to those who are Kaafir( violent non believers), **if they desist, that which is past will be forgiven them; and if they return to their misdeeds, then verily the example of the former peoples has already gone before them.

[8:39] And fight them until there is no persecution and religion is wholly to Allah. But if they desist, then surely Allah is Watchful of what they do.
[8:40] And if they turn back, then know that Allah is your Protector - an excellent protector and an excellent Helper!

Please see the above verses and note that the verse 8:39 is about the violent disbelivers who are the enemies of the truth and peace. It is not told to fight any peaceful disbeliever. It is the order to fight the Kaafirs i.e. the utter antagonists and violent disbelievers who are bent on enmity of Islam. They persecute and oppress the peaceful people. So it is necessary to fight against them to route out the evil in the society.
 
I think that given the history of Christendom (and mind you, I’m Catholic), we probably ought not throw stones as we live in a glass house ourselves. Especially in regards to how “christians” have treated Jews in the last 1700 years we’ve not been a model of peace love and tolerance as we should have been. The Crusades, while prompted by Muslim aggression, often turned into excuses for enriching those leading them. The various inquisitions, while not nearly as bad as made out by detractors, and while being the fairest court of their day, were still examples of anything but love and tolerance. Then we move on to the Christian treatment of Jews since AD312 and we should all hang our heads in shame at the deportations, Viennese Jews being burned alive or set upon the Danube in oarless boats, property confiscations, forced ghettos…it goes on and on. We have not been, except for our earlier and later history, good examples of what Christ would have us be.

Having said that, the majority of Muslims favor peace, but Mohammed was ANYTHING but a peaceful man. Islam was founded upon violence (witnesss the Mecca/Yathrib wars). Islam was spread both by violence and by trade. Muslim traders had as much to do with the spread of Islam as did Armies. So, as with Christians, the Muslims have had a mixed but bloody history.

Islam would have be a religion just as like any other if it wasn’t the social, political, economic and cultural way of life

Islam is a state, period ! and dangerous

I invite all believers in God to think about this scenario :
  • Imagine there is a God Manifestation, something that all world witness, but God doesn’t reveal Himself totally, it is just a miracle to show the World that He exists
  • Conversions would occur immediately, atheism will be destroyed
  • Because many in Europe and USA, accuse the Church of brutality in Inquisition and Crusades, and because of their ignorance, they choose Islam. Islam are pretty clever to omit what they want to be hidden
  • Due to Islam dominance, sharia will be implemented, secularism abolished in Europe and USA
  • Christians and mostly Catholics will be persecuted once more, killed, slaughtered…the Pope went away from Rome to elsewhere, because it wasn’t safe anymore
  • Jews resisted and the war is declared
  • the end comes with Jesus second advent
Here it is another apocalyptic interpretation to the book of revelation with some logic

“Peace” to a Muslim does not mean the same that it does to us, to them, peace will be achieved when all infidels are either converted, forced into submission and humiliated or killed!

Be looking at the evidence as to how they achieve that peace. If you consider terrorism based on your prophet and holy leader as being a part of a peaceful religion, that’s pretty scarey.
