Islam to be rewritten

You are making a logical fallacy called tu quoque. This is often done by muslims to justify the violence committed in the name if islam. It is also used by teenagers when they want to do something their parents won’t let them do (“But Mom, Johnny’s parents let him stay out late!”). Just because Johnny does it does not mean it is right.

As for the inquisition. Did you know the amount of people killed equaled to about 12 people per year. I think Texas executes more people than this. It was also a program of the Spanish state that was trying to root out people trying to over throw the state (i.e. the muslims who originally violently invaded Spain and were eventually driven out.) It was actually the Pope who was trying to curb the spanish state.
Thank you for underscoring the tu quoque issue that never seems to get old with muslims. Whatever violent words may be in the Bible…there is a difference between words and actions. Islam encourages violence by justifying violence. Some muslims practice violence and others don’t but the permission is there. Sometimes the truth cannot and should not be sugarcoated.

In the same way, Islam as a religion has been preserved as a way of life for 1400 years despite the attempts of many people to change it. Turkey is trying… futile. It is not up to men to change the religion of God.
Correct, while the rest of the world has passed you by, progressed and become civilized, Muslims are still living by 7th century rules.

As ex-Muslim Abul Kasem stated in this eye opening interview with FrontPage Magazine:

FP: Why do you think the efforts at an Islamic Reformation are suffering such huge obstacles? The effort of moderate Muslims to make any real ground in developing a counter-jihad strategy appears to be failing, no? How come? Or are my assumptions misplaced?

**Kasem: The answer is very simple. Islam cannot be reformed. Muhammad himself has banned any reformation to Islam.
Reforming Islam is not a new idea. From time to time Islamist Scholars have attempted to reform Islam. They have failed. You might have heard of the group called Mutazzilites. Their sincere attempt to reform Islam in or around the ninth and tenth century had failed miserably. Many such Mutazillites faced severe Islamic punishment for bringing innovation (bidah) in Islam
.
Introducing innovation in Islam is a serious crime, according to Ghazali. Whoever, brings in such a reform is subject to Islamic punitive measure, which is death.
Today, Islam is fossilized in the seventh century Bedouin Arab customs upon which Muhammad had founded Islam.
Under such draconian measures who dares to reform Islam?"

If Islam is the religion of God as you call it, why are Muslim countries among the most backward in the world?

I think this is a very inaccurate statement. We don’t agree with their beliefs, but to say they are backward is pretty below the belt. What about Dubai? Egypt? Kuwait? the list goes on and on of Countries that aren’t ‘backwards’… There are religious aspects of those societies we don’t agree with, but that is part of their culture. WE can’t expect an Islamic Culture to act like a Christian Culture. If they did, they wouldn’t be Islamic.

Furthermore, in the Middle Ages, my understanding is that Muslim Scientist were some of the best in the world at the time.

Anyway… Just wanted to make a comment

he said “backward”, not “wealthy”. Dubai with all its wealth is still a little bit backward. Just a little bit, compared to the extremely backward but wealthy Saudi Arabia. Right? 👍

The only reason these countries are wealthy is thier oil and the development of those resources by western coutries and companies. Islam has actually inhibited these countries development by baring half the population (women) from contributing.

Actually islamic countries have contributed little to the development of math and science. Arab countries mostly took what was already developed and sat on it. TI was Europeans who took that information and developed the scientific method, modern math and physics.

Not everyone is benefiting from Dubai’s growth. Dubai booms on the blood and tear of the poor Indians, Pakistanis, and Bangladeshis. The wealth is all tied to the royal family. You can’t do business there if you don’t have a sponsor. Sponsor is like a co-owner of your business.

If a hadith is weak that is one thing, but if it is sound and sahih, you can not reject the sunnah. That is a very grave and serious offense and is worse than being a fasiq. Ahadith are not opinions.

The Quran, from Allah subhana wa ta’ala, says:

"And whatsoever the Messenger (Muhammad (PBUH)) gives you, take it; and
whatsoever he forbids you, abstain (from it)". (59:7)

Yeah but first you have to determine, what was his message? Was this a good one, advising to nurse a grown man?

Sahih Muslim 8:3424 ’ A’isha (Allah be pleased with her) reported that Sahla bint Suhail came to Allah’s Apostle (may peace be eupon him) and said: Messengerof Allah, I see on the face of Abu Hudhaifa (signs of disgust) on entering of Salim (who is an ally) into (our house), whereupon Allah’s Apostle (may peace be upon him) said: Suckle him. She said: How can I suckle him as he is a grown-up man? Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) smiled and said: I already know that he is a young man 'Amr has made this addition in his narration that he participated in the Battle of Badr and in the narration of Ibn 'Umar (the words are): Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) laughed.

This sounds to me some drunken Muslim wrote this as a joke and it ended up as Hadith. :whacky:

So why should I trust any of them.

The message Mohammed gives IS the Quran.

How do you feel about the Inquisition?
The Inquisition was a terrible time in Christianity’s past history (they keyword is ‘past’). But go back to the original teachings of Christ and His actions - and then go back to the teachings of mohammed and his actions. They are like night and day. (sort of ironic that mohammed and islam are symbolized by ‘night time’ things - the moon and star - a symbol of night - which is a symbol of mohammed’s pagan religion of his time)

It is in our past, we have learned from it and unfortunately, muslims justify their jihad - no matter what kind whether it be political, violence, fear, lying, immigration and uncontrolled birth rates - the end is the same - death, conversion, or subjugation of the infidels (dhimmi).

muslims come to our lands and they are given freedoms - freedom to argue on our websites, freedom to practice their ‘religion’ and other freedoms while they work on their jihad against us. We go to their lands to live - and we become dhimmi who are next to slaves and we take our lives in our hands on a day to day basis. We have no rights and no freedoms. muslims will riot, terrorize and do violence against the dhimmi populations and absolutely nothing will be done to them for doing such atrocities because their sharia law says that it is ok for muslims to do such things.

That is the difference. The teachings of Christ has allowed you to come here and live a decent life and the teachings of mohammed mean that death is at every corner. If there is a period of calm - all it takes is one knothead to insist on fundamentalism and all is awash.

And as far as islam being rewritten - or basically the koran being rewritten - it is only for us infidels that the muslims do this. The muslims will still read and obey the original koran. It is basically more deception coming from the muslims.

** It is not up to men to change the religion of God.**

Too bad Mahomet didn’t realize that.
