I was asked to provide proof: just go to

www.persecution.org

It’s all there. If you still doubt then lets meet in Saudi Arabia and have a public Mass.
Well, wecome to the club of Christians being persecuted by Islam. This is nothing new to Eastern Orthodoxy. Our faith has been persecuted for more than a thousand years by Muhammed and his friends.

I guess we are going to have to catch up with our Eastern brethren. On the bright side it seems that Muslims are equal opportunity persecutors. They don’t discriminate as to which of us kaffir they will persecute.

Since the death of Muhammad and before from that, the prosecution of many catholics by islam is a reality, the center of christianism, St Peter, was profanated by muslims in 844, however, Saudi Arabia is respected. The Mecca hasn´t churches and even christians. Very sad, we want churches there.

Tristan daCunha:
Simply put: Its the Saudi Law. One cannot openly display any signs of Christianity in Saudi Arabia ie religious medals, bibles, churches, outdoor services, tatoos have to be covered if they look like crosses and the like. Those Saudi’s are very open minded- NOT!

Tristan daCunha:
You ask, why? well, there are 6 million of foreign people, christians and catholics and need priests, churches things like that

You know, I have a Swiss Military T-shirt with a big cross on it. I’m tempted to wear it once to work and see how the Saudis would react to it. My Saudi body guards would possibly turn me over to the religious police. Not a good idea.

I wouldn’t consider that unless you’re going for martyrdom. 😉

Have you ever wonder what mecca look like? I mean… you know… closely… like we are seeing the liberty statue or eiffel tower… its my dream to see mecca and the black stone though… just curious but hey…I think I should be a muslim first then.

Stabbing of nun sparks tension in Alexandria, EGYPT.

By Maamoun Youssef

Egypt - A Muslim student stabbed and seriously wounded a Coptic novitiate nun inside a church in the Mediterranean port city of Alexandria on Wednesday amid tensions about a theatre performance considered offensive by Muslims, a police official said.

Police arrested the male and are now questioning him over the incident, said the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity.

Father Augustinous, head of the St Gergis church where the attack happened, said the assailant was aged in his early 20s and stabbed the novitiate nun in her chest with a knife as a prayer service finished.

The victim, aged in her mid-40s, was in a serious condition after undergoing surgery on her injured lung, Augustinous said.

A male worshipper behind the novitiate nun was also attacked but suffered a minor injury.

“After stabbing the nun and the other worshipper, the attacker knelt to the ground and prayed as if he was thanking God for finishing a task,” said Augustinous, who did not witness the incident but recounted versions of the attack given by other people in the church.

The incident follows a protest on Friday by over 1 000 Muslims outside the church against the distribution of DVD copies of a drama performed inside the church in 2003 entitled I Was Blind But Now I Can See.

The drama features a Christian university student who converts to Islam when a group of Muslim men promise him money.

When he becomes disenchanted with his move, the men threaten him to stop him from returning to his original faith.

Augustinous denied that the church or anyone related to it distributed the DVDs and said the play was performed only once to coincide with the Coptic New Year.

“But the drama was not offensive to Islam, because the converted Christian student was saved by his Muslim friend,” he said.

Coptic Christians make up about 10 percent of Egypt’s population of 70-million. Christian-Muslim relations usually are fairly smooth in Egypt, though violence flares from time to time, particularly in small southern communities, and some Copts complain of discrimination.

The play and the protest reflect the charged atmosphere between Muslims and Christians in Egypt, where accusations of forced conversions are routine.

In December, angry Copts protested in Cairo for four days and clashed with police when the wife of a priest fled her home in the south to convert to Islam.

Who erected those highway signs, an Isamic religious institution, or the non-elected government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which our elected government supports?
Muslims don’t have “religious institutions” do they? As for who put up those highway signs, I’ll ignore the Michael Moore style spin there and tell you straight up it was a bunch of Muslims.

I don’t see anything wrong with the two signs, why are you making a big fuss out of it. Makkah is the most sacred place on earth for the muslims. It’s a sanctuary, and millions of muslims go there for pilgrimage each year. It’s not a tourist attraction where you go and camp or take a tour.

I’ll mention some reasons why Makkah is a holy city
  • All muslims in the world face the direction of Ka’ba when performing the daily prayers. Note that we don’t worship the Ka’ba, but it’s so that muslims unite and pray in the same direction. If you can’t tell which direction is the Ka’ba no problem. Just face any direction.
"And to Allâh belong the east and the west, so wherever you turn yourselves or your faces there is the Face of Allâh (and He is High above, over His Throne) Surely! Allâh is All-Sufficient for His creatures’ needs, All-Knowing" (Qur’an 2:115)
  • The Ka’ba which we believe was built by Prophet Adam pbuh. is in makkah. Then later Prophets Abraham and Ismael pbut errected the building again.
  • On the eastern corner of the Ka’ba rests the black stone. The black stone is believed to be from Heaven, it was sent to Prophet Abraham while he was errecting the Ka’ba.
  • Just a few meters east to the Ka’ba is the sacred well of zamam. According to muslim tradition, zamzam was opened by angel Gabriel (Jibreel) pbuh, to save Hajar and her son Ismael from dying thirst.
  • The city of Makkah is Protected by Allah (swt) in respond to the prayer of Prophet Abraham pbuh.
"And (remember) when Ibrâhim (Abraham) said: “O my Lord! Make this city (Makkah) one of peace and security, and keep me and my sons away from worshipping idols” (Qur’an 14:35).
  • On the seventh Heaven there is a building similar to Ka’ab, and is situated exactly above the Ka’aba (in the seventh heaven), it’s called Al-Bayt Al-Ma’mur. The angels perform pilgrimage to it. Every day 70,000 angels go there; then exit from it, and never return. The next day another 70,000 angels go, come out, and never return. This will continue until the Day of Judgment.
Anyways, This is a picture of the black stone which is surrounded by a silver band. And the ka’ba. What you see around the Ka’ba are muslims (men, women, and children) performing the pilgrimage.

Esris, you can´t forbid the presence of non-muslims in The Mecca, you are violating the human rights, please consider that, the freedom of religion and these things. With a religious real freedom many muslims would leave islam.
