The word Inspired can only properly apply the the Holy Bible and Sacred Traditon. And no, JPII’s kissing of the Koran is perhaps one of the most troubling things of his pontificate and has been criticized by many including previous popes in encyclical form. There is a popular photograph of JPII kissing the koran. If the pope has kissed it, then shouldn’t we assume that at least some of the things written in it are inspired by God and that it would therefore be suitable to read in a Cathedral? I don’t think it should be, but what can I say when the Supreme Pontiff himself showed reverence to it?
