Dear Ahimsa, Tahir ul Qadri is very late now on scene afte rmuch damage has been done to public and to Islam, by the terrorists. Where was tahir in the past 20 years??
There are men sitting in London (Ahmadis) who preach Love. Love for all and hatred for none. Those men are in London who for more than 100 years, teaching and preaching against Jihad with weapons. they are considered heretics by Tahir ul Qadri.
Tahir ul Qadri, being a Sunni, Brelvi, has a big following amongst some sects of Muslims and he is getting close to the Shias too. Initailly he got into politics but failed very badly. He learnt a good lesson i.e. not to go near politics.
Then he palyed a drama against his benefactor, a political leader of Lahore. The case went to the court and the court delivered a horrible judgement against Tahir ul Qadri, calling him a selfish, misguided, foolish, greedy person who does not recognise the persons who helped him with land and money.
It is good that Tahir has come on the scene. Better late than never. Will any one listen to him?? I doubt it very much. There have been sincere people in London and major cities of Europe, America who have been requesting the Jihadists to shun violence. tahir ul Qadri did not come forward at that time to aid the anti-terrorist people.
There is another group of preachers amongst Muslims. They are people of the tableeghi Jama’at. They are trying to preach Islam all over the world. But, perhaps they do not believe in peaceful preaching. They are active in India, pakistan, bangladesh and some Arab countries. Those Tableeghi people, apparantly, may be peaceful persons. But they do support to suppress any persecution.
Tahir ul Qadri will gain some momentum for his own party, by his move in London. We wish that there is an end to violence. The suicide bombing is Haraam, illegal, in Islam. That is well known. Those who commit suicide go to hell, not to paradise. If any bomber is caught alive, he/she should be punished harshly in public as a warning to other bombers.
