I am pregnant with child number four (as most of you know from the big home birth debate :o ) and I went for a level II US today as part of my prenatal screening/testing. Now I realize this perinatalontologist is just the BOMB anyway, and he has been doing all of my ultrasounds since first trimester – (necessary since I have had mult. miscarriages as well as an ectopic) I didn’t expect what I got today. I also know he schedules 4D ultrasounds for those willing to pay extra for them as is current trend. I just didn’t think I would get the De-LUXE treatment of one for this baby, especially at no extra $$ or mention. Not only that – apparently they got some excellent pictures. It’s simply amazing as you can see. I can’t believe how much this little guy looks like his older brother, and his dad.

YET, it’s so strange to see how clearly your child looks 13 entire weeks before he’s due. I am thrilled and honored to share these with you guys. I hope you enjoy. I just marvel at technology today. Just 8 years ago this wasnt even possible.

That’s a very good picture. We tried to do that the other day with out 13-week-old but he/she hid his/her face.

I’m still grappling with why they insist on calling it ‘4D’. I’m sure the marketing department came up with that one. If the scientists had that lack of comprehension of spatial relationships, they’d never get ultrasounds working in the first place.

These are SO AMAZING~thank you for your willingness to share them (this kind of detail certainly wasn’t available when my last baby was born 9 years ago!!)

That is just absolutely amazing. Very cool, thank you for sharing.

:heaven: That is AMAZING! How wonderful God is! Thank you so much for sharing, you lucky Mommy you! 🙂

KC, thanks for sharing your baby with us. God is GREAT!
Congratulations!!!

My brother worked for GE- the developer of these- and explained:

1D- Length
2D- Length and Width
3D- Length Width and Depth
4D- Length Width, Depth and Time

He got pretty irked when I called them 3D.

Wow, that pic is just awesome! I’ll bet you REALLY can’t wait now. 😃

KCthemommy - thank you for sharing that. The technology that has helped you see the picture of your baby is awesome but so is the technology that has allowed you to share that picture with the rest of us 😃

Chovy, maybe he could explain further what “time” means in the 4D ultra-sounds! I know that they are far more detailed than a 3D as I get to watch this video on ultra-sounds that I show to the Earn While you Learn mommies at the CPC I volunteer at. It confuses me as all of them have a time element to them so there must be something I am missing here;).

Your baby is just beautiful, and the technology is just amazing. Thanks for sharing. You must be so excited that the day is getting closer that you will get to hold your baby.

Wait a minute. I just looked at your US picture again. I went to Dr. Jadali 5 years ago when I was pregnant with my 4th. He and their entire office are great, aren’t they?

Just wanted to say your baby is beautiful. Very humbling. Thank you for sharing them! Um them the pictures not them your children. OK, I fixed it.

Congratulations! And thank you for sharing. There should be these at every planned parenthood so they could see their little babies fingers and toes and heartbeat. That’s the way to end abortion.

God Bless you and your family!😛

This is just awesome!! (Yes, I’m a Californian) hehe

I had seen pictures of 4d ultrasounds, but never one as good as these! Congratulations! This baby is beautiful! Isn’t it wonderful to be able to se eyour baby’s face before he is even born? It makes it more than personal… again, congrats!

BEAUTIFUL!
I love the 4D ultrasounds!

My OB office got a new 4D ultrasound machine the week before my 2nd son was born…
So I got to see his beautiful face just 2 days before he was born! It was the most amazing thing in the world!!!

What a beautiful miracle you have within you!

Thank you for sharing.

This is why I believe that it should be a law that every woman wanting an abortion have an ultrasound first - that would surely cause them to rethink their plans…

God bless you and your little ones!🙂

WOW! Those are great. I remember getting an ultrasound with our second - he’s 10 now - and the pictures had greatly improved in just the year since my first. I saw a great shot of his face for a fleeting moment and was amazed at that - now this! Your baby is beautiful!
