Greetings, brothers and sisters. Feels good to finally, somewhat miraculously, find my way back in after these years.
I’m currently having couple of issues I’ll appreciate helpful information or explanation on.
First, I recently started feeling somewhat about the line “Hail, our life” in the Salve Regina (Hail Holy Queen) prayer in reference to Mother Mary. Isn’t Jesus “the Way, the Truth and the Life”? Why is the word “life” applied to Mary?
Second, I noticed that the rosary is almost the only prayer I say regularly. I find it hard to pray directly to Jesus because I often can’t find the “right” or “sufficient” words, so I decide to go the “easy” way. There’s also this annual peace walk which takes place around here every January 1 during which only the rosary and Marian songs are .recited and sung. I’m beginning to feel like this is too much emphasis on Mary. I’m already planning not to attend the peace walk coming up again in few days’ time. What am I getting wrong here, if any?
