It is a beautiful, sunny April Sunday. I have just attended Mass and I have much joy in my heart.
May the love and peace of Jesus Christ be will all of you who read this thread today. 🙏

It’s raining where I’m at - but I can sure pick up your cheerful vibe !

Encouraging to hear 🙂

It’s nice here in NYC.

Usually, on Sunday mornings, I drive from my home in Brooklyn and pick up my elderly and somewhat mobility-impaired father at his home in the West Village, and drive back to my parish in Brooklyn, and we go to Mass there. Today, because of some traffic issues, I didn’t want to drive, so I took the subway to his place and we took a cab to the church in his neighborhood, Our Lady of Pompeii.

Lovely church. Here’s a pic:

The love and peace of Jesus Christ be with you too!

It is almost 90 here, means that my husband is back to homebound (heart patient, cannot be outside if it is above 75 degrees).

It is, isn’t it? Not my parish church, but I’ve been there a few times.

One of the nice things about living in NYC is that we have so so many churches, mostly built long ago, by and for mostly Irish and Italian immigrants (although the Irish and Italians were hardly the only Catholic ethnic groups to emigrate to NYC and build churches, they were the largest groups). The church in the picture is well over a hundred years old, like so many others in the city.

May you all be filled with loving kindness. May you all be well. May you all be peaceful and at ease. May you all be happy. Prayers and positive thoughts for you and your husband ThelittleLady.

That’s terrible. I’m so sorry – it must be tough for him to enjoy the summer.

Hang in there – both of you.
