All Saints and All Souls day is approaching.

As is usually the case, I have written my parents into the book the priest will be keeping on the Altar for the prayers of the souls of our departed.

If anyone else wants their parents remembered this year, feel free to write in. No need for identifying info. God knows and can sort the details out.

1) I'm a little unclear as to how to get my parents' names in the book on the Altar. Do I simply send you the names and you will go to your parish and add their names? That's how I interpret what you have written. Am I correct?
2) Is a book for the souls of the departed, or for the souls of the faithfully departed?

I am a convert and come from a long line of protestants. My father was an Anglican and even a "member" of the local masonic lodge. (I say "member" because all he did was pay his dues once a month or year and attend only ONE meeting (as far as I know) in the last 40 years of his life.) He was quite anti-catholic, but with a strong belief in Our Saviour. My mother began life as a Mennonite, but finally was baptized as an Anglican in her late 30s.
