That’s what I meant basically. Even if one doesn’t have magic as a second thought, some of the mistakes a sorcerer might make can be made by an innocent party.
Not sure I entirely understand your line of reasoning. But ad-lib your own invocation of one’s personal angel, and one can open himself up to demonic attack, especially if one speaks his angel’s name.
I do not see how you get that. There are four verbs in this sentence that has St. Michael as the object (the one invoked) and only one with God, and that is a third person imperative.Demons are cast down angels. The trouble with the thought of interacting with a specific angel is that the angel is not of the Trinity.
Invocation is a gamble, too much for some to deal with. Look at this prayer to St Michael
Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.Code:Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray;
and do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host -
by the Divine Power of God -
cast into hell, satan and all the evil spirits,
who roam throughout the world seeking the ruin of souls.
One can argue we are invoking St Michael’s protection, but in these prayers, we are invoking the power of God, and in this particular prayer, by the very words, no demon would approach the one(s) praying that prayer.
Pretty much spelled out "Divine power of God "I do not see how you get that. There are four verbs in this sentence that has St. Michael as the object (the one invoked) and only one with God, and that is a third person imperative.
That is the means, as indicated by the preposition “by”. The invocation is directed as St. Michael.Pretty much spelled out "Divine power of God "![]()
I believe my guardian Angel can help with my sanctification - the salvation of our souls is always the priority. So I personally wouldn’t sever communications at that point. The Church only discourages us from naming or seeking the name of our Angels. Again, we should be cautious of trying to tell others how to proceed with private devotion when they remain well within the guidelines recommended by the Church. Here’s a notion:
Your interaction with your guardian angel should be limited to: “Thanks, pal”, then get on with your own sanctification. Unless you’re a living saint.

Cart before the horse…?..:doh2: …then don’t even acknowledge why the cart exists…?..:doh2:…Probably won’t roll too far before flipping over……
There’s a New-Age occult subculture revolving around angels. Funny thing is, fans don’t seem to want to follow up to the logical conclusion: If there are angels, do God, Jesus, Mary, the Devil and demons exist and therefore is Christianity true?
Might be a bit too upsetting for 'em, eh?![]()
Let me guess: Obtuse? Why would anyone want to name their guardian angle? They already have a name.
I just asked God to reveal my GA’s name to me. He did.
